Watched it through again plenty to build on. Couldn't buy a decision either. Need to speed up our ptb but plenty there to be hopeful about.

Having watched it back, we didn't do as bad in that period as I thought we had. Our line speed and aggression dropped in defence for around 10-12 mins and Wire capitalised, like any top team would. Two of their tries came from clearly obvious knock ons, one from Mcarthy another from Ratchford. Monahagn's first try was a very good leap for the ball, second Yeamo and Galea were to blame for not closing the gap in the line. Shannon and Lineham were quality. We're not far off.

Watched it back this afternoon, and have to agree that we weren't as bad on TV than it seemed in the ground. A few stupid errors put pressure on the defence and tired the team out.
Think all we need is a good run against weaker opposition to build some confidence and we'll be back up there.
would still like us to add another big forward if we have the budget though, even if it is another Sam Moa style project. I fear that if O'Meley gets injured we'd be pretty toothless in attack. |
