| If it turns out that Griffin didn't abuse him.
I hope we appeal like Wigan did when Kendall red carded Bateman for alleged abusive language towards him in 2021.
Kendall got dropped for that.

I honestley dont get why people are getting there knickers in a twist over it. What they are saying Fash has done is physically impossible for him to do at that speed. Its a one in a million thing that happened and if Kendall had called held the incident wouldnt have happened anyway.
Just because he got KO doesnt mean he should be banned, are we going to start banning players when legs get trapped in a tackle next ? Or the players or tackled Taylor.
No malice whatsoever and a complete accident with momentum causing the incident to happen and Kendall letting a tackle go on longer then it needed to.
If anyone says Fash purposely smashed him is quite frankly, an idiot.

Agree with your post as unless Fash can undo the law of physics or somehow move his shoulder out the way then he can not be held responsible or be accused of intent. Both his arms appear to be trapped inbetween himself and Percival, even Percival is holding onto to Fash as they all go down.
If Fash does get banned then in affect any this means that any accidental contact with the head is a ban so any player clashing heads will see both players receive bans.
I fully accept the need to protect the welfare of players but finding reasons to ban players just because of an unfortunate outcome of a tackle would be crazy.
No doubt the MRP will be as inconsistent as ever and Fash will be missing come the end of the review.

| Quote: Magic Superbeetle "I’ve held my tongue in this thread as fans are entitled to their opinion; but what you have written is beyond the pale.
Let’s start with the Fash incident. It’s a red card every day of the week. Direct contact with the head with the shoulder whilst prone in a tackle. I don’t think it was a particularly dirty play, but Fash went for an aggressive, dominant tackle and got it completely wrong, leaving a player stone cold K.O.’d. I truly don’t understand how Kendall got to on report; because either he’s penalising contact with the head and it’s a red card, or it’s a knock on, there’s really no inbetween. Those calling “oh the ref shouldn’t have sent Griffin off for the sake of the game”; that good grace was used for that tackle.
After we took the 2; you knocked the ball out on the third tackle which Kendall ignored and you took the ascendancy.
Then you have your second try which Kendall sent up as a try; when McIntosh knocked the ball forwards into Mata’utias forearm and it then went backwards to Savelio, which was ignored/ not overruled due to the silly guess work rules refs need.
And then you get to the insanity that was the Griffin incident. Kendall told him to walk away, he kept gobbing off so he sin binned him. He [istill[/i kept gobbing off, and gave Kendall no choice. There is a massive difference between challenging decisions and calling the ref a joke (an abbreviated version of what turned a yellow to a red I believe). If a saints player had done it I would have had no issue with the ref standing a player down like that; it’s a slippery slope in letting comments like that go and it turning into football.
And as a final point on “Saints got penalties close to our line; we only got penalties coming out of our own half”; I could debate the pros and cons of each to be honest, but I think the BBC put stats up half way through the second half that showed Saints had had 4 times more play the balls in Hulls half than vv. You tend to win penalties where you have the ball and Hull had the ball in their own half a lot and Saints had the ball in Hulls half a lot.
I get all fans see biases and inconsistency with refs; the Saints fans have a particular conspiracy with the disciplinary but generally I think that gives far too much credence to the RFL. I totally accept my counter points are a very Saints centric view of things as well, and that the reality is somewhere between the two of us. There were mistakes in Kendall’s game (yep, Batchelor did shoulder charge Fash, should have been a penalty) but they cut both ways, and in the big moments did well enough. Kendall didn’t lose you the game; Griffin did.'"
There are so many errors in your version of events I can’t be bothered to point them all out.
But as far as the Griffin sending off this is what happened. After the hooter Griffin took out his mouth guard and walked towards Kendall. This wasn’t done in any aggressive way and he appears to point towards the big screen and a point on the pitch whilst saying something to Kendall. What I don’t know but then he turns away and starts to walk off. Kendall calls him back and shows him a yellow card. Griffin continues to walk off throwing his arms in the air and saying something. Again Kendall calls him back and shows the red. You make it sound like Griffin stood there arguing with him while Kendall told him to walk away which is just not correct.
Now I’m not trying to say what Griffin did shouldn’t be punished, and a big factor is what he actually said, but I just want consistency and we are seeing quite a few incidents where players argue decisions with referees and NEVER get punished. Dodd did it and nothing was said.

The only ones that know what was said are Griffin & Kendal as the touch judge wasn’t in ear shot as he was behind it all bent down picking the ball up with his back to everything. So unless the RFL have recording it’s difficult to know if the versions given by Griffin & Kendal differ which is the truth. If the touch judge says he heard it then I’d be very surprised as he must then have bionic hearing given the noise at the time.
The more you watch it I just don’t see that Griffin could have said enough to warrant the yellow unless it was pretty severe language. As for the red Griffin was already walking away so can only imagine Griffin was chuntering away to himself as he was walking away and Kendal misheard or misinterpreted this but even that is some feat at the speed Kendal got the red out.
When Carlos goes to speak to Kendal you can hear audio of Kendal seemingly say it’s dissent.
For all the ones saying Griffin has previous then he’s not alone as so does Kendal for mis hearing a player when he carded Bateman.
Yes Griffin should have known better but Kendal should have the skills to be able to handle and speak to frustrated players. Players and officials are all humans and as such are fallible.

Griffin is old enough and experienced enough to know better, you don't question the referee or use foul language even if it's not at the referee's face. Actually, he appears to brush against Kendall which will go against him. Given his previous and recent record I would expect a ban of one or two games.'"
It also makes the allegation that Griffin mouthed off at Brett Hodgson at training more credible given the two recent incidents

He alluded to his difficult relationship with Hodgson just last week on Hull Live
Quote: bonaire "Tony has got me playing with a smile on my face again. It was no secret that I had a couple of tough years under the previous coach, but I'm enjoying my rugby again, and that's a massive thing for me.'"
He needs to watch his mouth on the pitch but I'd still like to see him sign for another year. Done really well this season.

exactly, worse case scenario was a fine, but even the panel could see he was in a position of no fault of his own, makes Wilkin and Peacock look a bit foolish too claiming it was a red all day!
