Phenomenal effort by the lads, great grit and determination in the 2nd half, Sneyd and Grub took the game by the scruff of the neck, Ma'u outstanding as was JJ, Logan and Fash. Interchanges where well thought out, onwards and upwards under this coach.

Big meters from Ma'u, Sao, Fash and Mitch.

Big defensive efforts from a few including Scott who made 35 tackles, which is fantastic as its probably double what he normally makes.

I can assure you he didn't leave as we was sat just the side of the dugout. He was there all game in very good spirits laughing and joking with a load of other players.

Houghton and Lane didn't play because of personal reasons according to Hodgson in the HDM.

All the lads dug in deep. Fantastic effort. Again Sneyd lead us round the pitch second half. Playing a part in all the tries. He is our leader. Really chuffed with that win.

Me too. Lacked discipline and was disjointed in the first half which was understandable but showed real character in the second period to win the game.

I thought Sneyd was very good last night. He seemed to run with the ball more and with Houghton and Taylor missing he lead from the front. Special mention to Fash, he has improved massively over the last couple of years and warrants a place in the first seventeen. Quite liked the O'Meley impression but he really needs to wear red underpants for the full effect. I liked the way Reynolds was always encouraging and advising his inexperienced team mates. He does have a positive presence on the field.

Noticed that Jones had a sarcastic smirk on his face when he was booed. Good to see that he has fully recovered from long covid. I can't recall many other athletes having suffered from this. Guess he must have just been unlucky.

The togetherness of the team was a massive factor in us winning a game which we had no right to in all honesty. The amount of scrambling tackles we made was incredible and everyone seemed to share the workload out which was key given the lack of bench.

Ma'u was excellent and my MOTM, seemed to be everywhere and carried the ball brilliantly and Hudds struggled to contain him.

Feka posted a video on twitter of the boys giving Jack Brown a Birthday Cake. Lane was in the video.

It was Richard Stead on Humberside who said he left the stadium. Maybe he had to go sort something, or got some news that meant he wasn't in the right head space to play.

We should just leave it at 'personal reasons'.

Hopefully he is good to go against Salford

All that wrangling about this all stars game, disruption, possible injuries, teams playing weakened, or postponed matches, etc etc.

Now the flipping World Cup comp is in doubt.

Understandably covid has changed the thinking of the NRL, but you would have thought the World Cup organisation for the rugby league, would have had participation agreements in place, especially before four months of the tournament beginning.

Five years in planning, and now the possibility of postponing and playing it in the football World Cup year is madness.

The Euros, and other sporting and festival events are going ahead, rightly or wrongly I hasten to add, but boy the rugby league planners don’t half make things difficult, no matter which side of the world there from.

Much better by Sneyd, last couple of games he has been alot more creative particularly his short kicking game.

Loved seeing his passion after the drop goal, that will that will get his confidence back.

Also think Reynolds is getting better each game.

If the NZ cricket team can come over and play so can the rugby teams.....maybe me but it just seems a convenient excuse not to come over....Aussies have always put club and SoO before international games
