It looks very much like Prince and his agent have been stringing us along while looking for an NRL deal.

I doubt he was motivated by money but by the fact that his wife and family didn't want to come to England and who can blame them for that?

The fact that he has apparently signed for Brisbance gives the lie to all those Dobbins calling him past it, a has been, only here for the pension etc. and still shows that he can cut it at the highest level. I think he would have been a revelation in Super League.

However where do we go from here? I'm worried about Seymour's ability but even more worried about all these rumours about his fitness.

rangi chase, tim smith, graig gower and michael dobson are all going to be playing for teams that have no chance of playing in finals, surely some of them must have some ambition, dont we have the pulling power to entice one of them here?

Just heard from a very reliable source that the Terry Smirk deal is now back on.

2 years with an optional 3rd.

Very, very experienced, cheap & should be better than Seymour.

This has enormous impact on the coming season and it looms large that we start, yet again without a playmaker. Many people have bought season passes and if we have a bad season or one that does not quite fulfil some fans expectations then it will all come unravelled.

We have the makings of a good team, a team that could go onto to great things, but without a proper scrum half we will struggle to get the ball to the backs. Seymour was proved to be lacking in many area's last season and he will only get worse.

The temptation now is to panic buy and in the past this has caused more problems then it will solve.
