I can't see humberside going with this story if it's not true , not just upsetting 1 but both local teams if it's untrue . I like McDonnell and probably the best about who's available . We stil need at least 1 half back though or else improvement from this season will be minimal if Horne is first choice .

As much as Humberside make me cringe, they are usually spot on with their sport exclusives.A good signing if true, i just hope SM gets a really good hose down before he is allowed to wear a Hull shirt.  |

Confirmed in the Mail last monthMcDonnell has rejected the offer through his agent, with Rovers now agreeing to let him speak to other clubs and secure a move for 2013.
Chief executive Mike Smith admits he is disappointed.
"Shannon came over to Super League on a one-year deal with us looking to impress, and full credit to him for doing that," Smith told the Mail.
"We wanted to retain Shannon and we pushed the boat out in terms of making him a very good improved offer, for the next two years.
"It is obviously disappointing that he has turned that offer down, as we really pushed the boundaries to keep him.

I think you are correct 
Humberside got in first and have opened up a right can of worms for his remaining time at KR, I bet he gets a rough ride on Friday night. Clearly any player moving between the two Hull clubs is very sensitive even more so now as we have yet to play the final derby match, its not going to help KR at all is it. |

I was referring to his latest quote since we're talking about new signings rather than players that have left. He specifically refers to value rather than cost. I take that as meaning that it's not a simple issue of finding the cash - player scarcity is a big factor.
