O'Meley has been widely tipped to be on his way out. He is also widely tipped to have fallen out with the current regime. Hardly someone whose word you'd want to take without a healthy pinch of salt.

Maybe, appeared convincing though, but it maybe rooted in bitterness, time will tell.

Either way, O'Meley is way out of line if he's telling fans stuff like that - true or not. Until there's some official confirmation, I'm inclined to judge McRae on the evidence, which, as spackler points out, is all good right now.

| O'Meley would be better served getting his lardy in shape rather than holding court at West Hull.

As a club we are doing a lot better at this point than what I anticipated and I think Gentle is a fantastic coach, I was very pleased with the capture of G.Ellis and retaining Whiting, but equally disappointed with the loss of Manu & Turner, I am not overly ecstatic with our signings so far but I am open minded at this point as things appear to be going in the right direction, our signings will be crucial though as with the greatest respect we could have the best coach in the world but we also need the right players.

Possibly these?

Mark O'Meley who appears to be being shown the door? Also, isn't O'Meley supposed to not get on with Gentle, either? The same Mark O'Meley who was a major supporter of Agar? That Mark O'Meley?
I'm not actually saying he's wrong, I have no idea. All I'm saying is that so far, the evidence we've seen has been an improvement.

Given that you've just said you're very pleased with Ellis, just how bad do you think Arundel is to be fairly ambivalent with our signings overall?
Personally, the only losses I'm disappointed with are Manu and Moa if he goes.

| Quote: Standee "McRae is ruining FC from within, he's cost us Manu and Turner and others may follow, Gentle isn't happy and has told AP as such.'"
This would be the Manu who tried to back out of his deal with Saints and come back to Hull? And the Turner who wants to leave because the club won't let him commute any more?
Yup - I can see how Bomber has just driven these two away...

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| It wouldn't be mid season without rumours of the board falling out and physios not being able to do their job.

| Quote: Dave K. "I quite liked the rumours thread, until someone went too far and posted the Mcgoldrick rumour.
I can't think of player in SL that I would least like to sign, I'd rather have Cockayne.
Holdsworth would be a decent signing, not a brilliant and one, but he is a lot better than Horne and Smith (who Wigan are after), there isn't much out there so may be the best available.
Be great if it was a double swoop with Broughton coming also.
And to be greedy I'd still like a FB.'"

| Irrespective of whether these "rumours" are true, I'm not sure what value mcrae adds now pearson is out of work and can, presumably, devote his time to the club

My thoughts as well, all Pearson needed was someone to get him a coach and then run things day to day.
Apart from contacts within the British game I don't see any value either.

What's his role within the club? As I said to you earlier Tom, I doubt this is as bad as is being made out and O'Meley needs to keep his mouth shut, and advise his wife to do the same. But what does Bomber bring that Gentle and Pearson (now he's unemployed) can't do? Only thing I can think of is British contacts, maybe?
