why isn't your seat guaranteed, are you going East Unreserved (your choice), there was no free cap last year as far as I know, why should passholders get cheaper tickets, some people can't afford a one off lump payment, you'll still get a few free games.

Why???????
If we take your argument you only buy a pass because it's cheaper.
Doesn't sound like someone who's hardcore and commited.
Personally I would say someone who didn't buy a pass and went to everygame was more commited.
I definately would say that someone who is complaining because he can't sell a discounted voucher to someone because he didn't go, is definately neither hardcore or commited

people like myself and Kosh drive 300+ miles to attend games, anyone suggesting we're less comitted because we don't buy a season pass is, frankly, an ar$e.

Yes i'm going unreserved as i don't feel reserved offers ANY value for money at that price difference. I see your point but on the other hand those that do pay one lump sum should be rewarded otherwise, why bother?? More money then goes into the club bank account and generates more interest.
We don't yet know how much the walk up prices are but as we stand;
East Unreserved is £15 per game
Reserved is £17.31 per game
We also don't know yet if the direct debit scheme is still going to cost £10.
Coupled with the fact i have to remember/carry around my pass and hold the risk of losing it (The Brother, last season IIRC) if i'm not saving a great deal i don't need to do it.
That's the point i'm making. I'll NEVER not go but, and as Pearson said himself, the pass has to represent good value. For me it, as we stand, doesn't!!

you do know how low bank interest rates are, don't you?
the reserved seats have a better position than the unreserved
the Direct Debit scheme costs money to administer, 10% of the value is cheap, and you're getting it for less than that
You honestly think it will be less than £20 walk up?
and as for the comment about remembering your pass, that is just laughable.

| You have also got to factor in the vat increase from 17.5% to 20% so in effect the pass prices have come down an additional fiver no a huge amount but the club have reduced prices more than the face value of the pass

I was agreeing with you, people's dedication to FC isn't measured by their ability to buy a season pass, in fact, buying a season pass, in some cases, leads to apathetic supporters that turn up "because I've paid for it", which takes more effort, me arranging my week around getting out of London by 2pm on a Friday (and having 6am breakfast meetings during the preceeding days to facilitate it), travelling 3 hours on the train, driving from Mansfield to Brough, getting taxis to meet friends or cadging a lift into town, then getting back home to Mansfield at 1am, or finishing work on Clough Road at 5, having tea at home and wandering down to the pub for a pint before walkng to the KC at 7pm?

As said before the VAT increase would have been worked into the 2011 pass price. There isn't an argument on that one.

And excellent that is aswell. I've not said anything to counter that. It came from someone who couldn't read correctly!!!

Thought so.
Though I cannot give examples of going that extra mile to get to games (I only live in Hedon) I have only missed a handfull of home games in the last 10 years. Last season was the first season I bought a pass but I wouldn't say I was more commited than the previous 9. In fact the only reason I bought a pass was because I found the walk up price was becoming just too expensive.
