Thins likes extending contracts, possible signings etc are things that players, club officials would talk about and therefore rumours follow.
I can't imagine players talk abour wages and certainly would not tell fans etc what they are earning hence talk of salaries are complete guess work rather than rumours.
For example you heard about Houghton thinking of going to the NRL, a likely rumour and easy to see how it could come out. His salary on the other hand, very unlikely.

That was a fact from the horses mouth!....however I agree there is a lot of speculation and I suppose some players drop hints about earnings but they are just like the rest of us really, personal finances are just that, personal. |

No,like paul m said,nobody realy knows what players wages are or what upgrades are been offered,sam has realy turned out to be a great signing and im sure we would all love him to stay,ill hold my neck out to say wether its him or his agent they could be asking for a little bit more than the club value him at hence why no announcement has been done,saying that i still believe he wants to stay and the the club want him to stay so on that note the people concerned will see sense and a contract will be signed and we will all be happy bunnies  |
