What are you talking about - "smokescreen exercise"? Who mentioned one of those?
I said it was a counter-attack. I.e. Hull are alluding pointedly to Long's (genuine) concussion and are emphasising the fact that it was caused seconds before his strike by an unpunished head-high blow. I presume that they are doing this to force the committee to look at the severity of the previous incident and thereby give Long a case for mitigating circumstances. Those being a) the concussion affecting his judgement when he went into the tackle and b) the injustice and inconsistency once again of the idiot Child.
A logical strategy and a just one imo. But please, don't let that stop you jumping pompously down people's throats any more. It's hardly your inaugural attempt, is it? |
