doesn't help the team does it?if they want to protest,why don't they do it outside the reception area before or after the game,but fully support the players to gain us wins?it is a very small minority,who would do it,but you may have more support doing it that way!! |

I don't even know what that means.
I give up because we were having a discussion about people's right to protest and when you realised I was right you moved the goal posts entirely. If the people with the banner were 'soft prats', then I have to say you're not much of a better representative for your side of the debate.

yes they were!! why not protest after the game to agar himself,or the directors?what ogre and co,think of some of the fans,i shudder to think!!! i just hope any potential signings for 2012 dont ask his opinion in too much detail.the fact remains,that agar out banner's during the game,or directed towards the players,doesn't help at all. |

Jimmy we've been through this.
People are entitled to make peaceful protests, it's in the human rights act FFS.
You don't like it on the basis that you think it doesn't help the team, but that is entirely irrelevant to anything that I have said to you.
And if you seriously think fans making a banner to protest against the coach might cause potential signings from Oz to turn us down, then you are even dafter than you are coming across as at the moment. |

30% is not an insignificant amount. If any business took a 30% reduction in income, it would probably spell the end. And I think that 30% only accounted for gate receipts, not merchandise etc. Add to that the fact that most sponsors only sponsor the club because they want their name to be seen by thousands of fans each week. If there were no fans, there would be no sponsorship.
The fans are the lifeblood of any club. Not that I support the whole 'they should remember who pays their f***ing wages' comments, but it's daft to suggest the fans aren't a massive part of that. |

think it will be more than that considering the money the club get from Sky as well which we pay in subscriptions, what ever the percentage, the players would not be getting payed for playing RL if it wasnt for us fans!!! |

I agree with all that and that to a large extent is why I've always thought that you can't run a sporting club on exactly the same lines as a "proper" business. The fans are a massive part of the club in a way that another companies customers aren't |
