Where did i assume that? Also mentioning cash, is it not true that we would have more space on the cap to offer someone with Tansey off it? If cash was not the issue previously we still have more of it with Tansey off the cap to entice someone. (cash may not have been the issue but it can be a sweetener) |

In those instances where details have leaked, cash has not been an issue and more cash is unlikely to help - except possibly to pay way over the odds for Sammut. AFAIK Cas have basically said that Chase is unavailable at any price, and our forays into the overseas market have been stopped by visa and/or contract length issues.
This appears to be one of those cases where having more cash really isn't going make any difference as we already had more than enough. |

 cash is he least of the issues I think, that is something we have plenty of, but only for the right players |

Whatever the reasons for signings not coming off i think you and Kosh are both missing my point. My point was that if we sack Tansey we have more buying power. Cash may not have been a problem before, but salary cap space was. We now have more buying power as we can offer Tanseys wage over and above what we offered anyone before. That could well be the difference between offering a good halfback a 100k salary or a 170k salary. Suddenly not wanting to move to Hull may become less of an issue.

He's taken money under false pretences, it's time sport got less tolerant of idiots like him.

OK, imagine you pay a garage to get your car through an MOT, they say it has, someone else has a look and they didn't do the work they charged for.
Tansey has been employed as a professional RL player and to abide by the acceptable behaviour as set down by the club, he has not fulfilled that promise.
IF the club sack him then it can only be for serious breach of contract, and any business could seek recompense for such behaviour.
I sometimes wonder about what is acceptable to some people on here. (fortunately, the people in the stands seem a lot more realistic)

The key word there is employed, he is covered by employment law..If he breaches the rules he will be dealt with under the conduct code, which he has/is and it could result in his dismissal. Also we are not privy to the in's and out's of this it is clearly an internal disciplinary matter, and so it should be. |
