And he could learn from the legend that is Chris Thorman!
Seriously though, we do seem to be building a good link with them so I think it could be a good option for Nicklas.

I'd disagree Carl, he's got a two year deal so the first should be training with first team playing with i20's then 2nd dual.
Only my opinion of course.

I'd just go with the dual contract and if it's apparent it's too early bring him back. We have a couple of cases recently of leaving players in the 20s and they find it easy, then have a huge culture shock with the move up to SL and fall apart confidence-wise. Better to have them always needing to improve IMO, so that they stay hungry to learn and don't get lax.

| I'm just thinking the step up to ft training might be hard enough never mind been shipped out on a dual reg.
I do see your point Carl I'm just wondering if patience shouldn't used here.

I'd agree patience if he was a bit younger, but he'll be 19 next year won't he? So if we wait until 2012 for a dual contract deal, if the club in question didn't pick him he possibly wouldn't play at all that weekend. That would be an even worse situation. At least next year if he was struggling to get a game, as I say we could then have him play in the 20s. Then by 2012 he'll hopefully be in more of a position to go out and command a place for the full season at another club.
He's made a couple of SL appearances this year, so I don't see how it will benefit him to follow that up by looking at confining him to the 20s, either. Might be a bit of a kick in the teeth for him now he's seen what it's about.
And concerning the move up to full-time training being hard, surely it will actually put him at an advantage over most other players in Championship 1, who are part-time?

| Maybe so Carl, I can see both arguements.
I'd guess it will come down to how the coaches see it.

| I understand Agar said after the game we are talking to a couple of halfbacks ? Any idea who they could be ? I'm guessing that Briggs will be the name people will say but haven't seen a lot of him is he someone who could do a good job here ?

| Briggs wont be a star but he will provide good cover in the halves.

From the guy that thought Whiting would go to fullback yesterday and Turner would come off the bench into the centres. Thanks for the RL insight fella, but if you don't even know who was on the pitch against you yesterday, I'll take your comments on Featherstone players with a pinch of salt.

We've got cash to spare, think it's time to spend big if we want to be competetive. First signing i'd make would be a coach.

If the rumours of us offering cash for Myler then I guess the club think the same as you.
