Any old players, past their best, that you sign will deny valuable first team opportunities to your young players and stifle their development.

That's if any of your younger players get a sniff off contracts or 1 st team.....having witnessed the u-19 derby........our youngsters,whom 5 have just signed pro deals have a far better chance of 1st team than yours will have....you have just signed the French bloke on another yr long loan.....haven't you any youngsters coming through |

I daresay that a small handful of players will be signed from the u-19s again this year, in addition to the retention of Larroyer and other signings. The under-19 derbies were both close games on the score board at least, so hopefully there's 2 or 3 ready to step up.
No club can rely solely on academy products, not many can even rely heavily on them and be successful. Hence the signings of players that could not or can no longer secure a regular spot in the NRL.
As the standard falls a little, perhaps more academy products will be able to reach it. Every cloud. |

We have several youngsters already playing 1st team rugby,cox,green,salter,ollett,esslemont,hallett. |

I didn't describe him, as he joined kr before I joined this forum, & we have had the best halfback to play in the super league era at FC.  |
