They can't keep him if he doesn't want to stay. Wigan triggering the third year of his contract means a transfer fee would be required rather than Hull just signing him as a free agent.

Your Chairman is a business man and will sell him if he can get a fee for him rather than lose him for free, like he has done with previous players.

A massive signing for Hull, a loss for Wigan, but I would imagine that he will be replaced internally quite easily.

Don't think its as much NH not selling to Hull, more likely Taylor wanted to go to the best team in the comp and win things. If its not worked out personally for him (as rumoured) then I 'm sure he didn't anticipate that and thought he'd settle fine.
Personally I think its a huge mistake for him to leave Wigan for anyone other than an attempt at NRL or even RU (difficult for a prop) but if his circumstances dictate then so be it.
What I would say is, is Taylor really what Hull need? Good prop no doubt but is he worth a transfer fee and what I would assume will be a big wage in an area you look quite well stocked in and also have good youth coming through?

This bangs of Hulls recent history of recruitment. A big name, and in this case a local name to buy favour with the fans. Paying a fee for a prop really doesn't make sense to me given you already have a decent set of forwards. Outside backs and half backs should be where the money is spent!

Our pack isn't good as it looks on paper, we have been dominated in a few games this year including twice against rovers, I think we need a prop.

I think people forget that this sining isn't just for next season, Taylor could plat for Hull for the next 10 years, if we pay say 100K for him and get 10 good years out of him, then the fee isn't a worry.
