Hutch and Feka for conditioning coaches surely. The dream team. At Chicken George's anyway.

Sticking by the Dons as player/coach in 2014.

| None of my business I know, but it does all seem very strange to announce a root and branch review and then decide that the current assistant coach is taking over before the review has taken place/been completed! There just doesn't seem any logic to that approach (not that logic is often applied to rugby league clubs!).
Technically you dont need a new coach until pre-season starts. OK having one in place helps tidy up recruitment, but there are other people around to sort that.
If a decision has been made to part company with Mr Gentle, then fair enough, but you dont need to rush into appointing his successor, if anything given recent history, the right thing to do is to take time to consider the options, rather than seemingly respond in a "knee jerk" way!
I don't know much about Mr Radford's credentials for the post, or his coaching skills, but he is part of the current coaching set up that has presumably been deemed unsatisfactory. OK none of this may be down to him and he may have disagreed with everything Gentle was doing (which I would find odd if true!). So all the more reason to take a few deep breaths and make the next appointment after careful consideration. If Radford then ticks all the boxes on the job specification then fair enough.
Unless of course this has been carefully considered for many months and Gentle has been on borrowed time, even so you would be a very fortunate Club to have the perfect solution on your doorstep all this time!

You sure you're not an FC fan?
Most of us having been asking/thinking exactly the same.
Madness isn't it?

| If all the crazy rumors have a spec of truth in them I have a simple question.
After the cup final why wasn't Radford given his chance to show what the side could do in the play offs?

| Luckily we'll have Cooke 2 day's a week, we do need to thank Doncaster for allowing him to spare some time to help our club.
I'd also like to see Paul King brought back and given a role in the club, maybe catering, the beer is awful.

| Imho, [uIF[/u Gentle has gone, I would think it will simply be Radford as caretaker coach, until we have a permanent one in place.

I would hope you are right but would also hope that we have a permanent appouintment within the next 4-5 weeks so he can properly prepare for next season.
Just another thought -if Radford does get the job will he cut back his involvement in his other business interests? I believe he owns 2 or 3 bars. Coaching Hull FC is a full time job with no room for distractions.

| Rumour on the Wigan board that you've signed Chris Tuson.
A good player, not a star but will put a shift in for you every time he plays.
Had a good season when fit and scored some decent tries when backing up.
Our problem was that after Hock, the 2nd row often was Hansen, Farrell & Tuson.
That combination is too small.
You have some big men in your squad so shouldn't be a problem for you guys.
That's if it's all true of course.
