I wanted FC to win and hoped they would win but deep down i knew they would lose. Having said that i could not believe how we let a very very average Wigan team off the hook.
We defended magnificently but the attack and ball retention was woeful and schoolboy standard. I noticed quite a few players letting the ball hit the body rather than taking it outside the body

gentle has only been your coach a couple of seasons and got you to a major final ok you didnt play well and wigan didnt really have to get out of first gear to beat you but sack him!! come on give him some credit for what you have acheived hull are a good team and could very well go on to be a real threat in the play offs. hard luck today.

It wasn't Gentle's fault that the players couldn't do basic things like keep hold of the ball! Awful awful game. Never been more disappointed

I think sacking Gentle would be a bit OTT. It was clear that a few Hull players bottled it big time today. Tickle and Ben Crooks should have been taken off in an ideal world as both of them were expensive but then Holdsworth and Miller didn't rise to the occasion either. Once the panic set in there was no stopping it, it would seem. Gentle can't give the team balls and cool heads.
