I meant the lack of passion in the East stand, shocking support in all honesty every time we go - I was a big fan of the threepenny stand but the KC is dreadful. Most FC fans i speak to admit they would love standing. I think the fact there's a thread complaining about a little smoke grenade at a rugby match speaks volumes.

Your away support is brilliant, a shame you cannot replcate it at home. And before you all start, yes it was a friendly - but a derby nometheless.

If such items like 'smoke bombs' were allowed in the stadium then they wudnt be on the list of banned items allowed in the stadium, obviously the Rovers fan who brought it into the stadium couldnt read the sign !!! another question is 'how did he/her get it into the stadium in the first place?'
With respect to stewarding, certain ones once they put on that yellow or orange (if you can read) coat, they think they have the powers of police officers, those who went to Warrington in play-offs and saw their stewards also using excessive force as well.
Im afraid i cant see them changing unless a great number of supporters write in to complain, it is a little harsh when all away fans are allowed to stand all the game but home fans aren't allowed. Grounds like hudds and wigan which are all seating you are not allowed to stand and are told not to by stewards if you do, so why do the KC stewards let all away suppoorters stand ???
Apart fm that most supporters behaved very well and brought a good following to and out sung us Hull supporters, but hey its a friendly.
Anyway rant over bring on the new season (as it hasnt started yet for all those dobbins who think it has)

Do you seriously mean that? icon_eek.gif

Are you seriously drawing a comparison between today and Valley Parade?

You do realise these such smoke bombs are pocket size! Now I don't know what the home fans at the KC have to go through to get in but I didn't have my pockets searched and I'm certain nobody else did either!

Also not sure anybody has said it isn't a banned item but then I would guess you drive at or under the speed limit at ALL times? Never creep over by a few mph? But the sign tells you it is wrong...

I hope for your sake that Bradford Rugby Football Club had a smoke bomb/flare going off at a friendly because if you are indeed referring to the fire that killed 56 people at Valley Parade due to a dropped cigarette butt/match onto excess rubbish accumulated beneath the stand then you are a bell end of gigantuan proportions. icon_evil.gif
No comparison can be made between setting off a flare/cracker/firework and the events that unfolded at Valley Parade....

Quote: nick hkr "Personal opinion but I don't see an issue with the smoke bomb. It wasn't thrown or let off around anyone other than those that found it ammusing. It's about as much harm as going to a wedding and the DJ letting off the smoke machine! Should they be banned from all weddings, parties and proms?!

If it were a fire hazard such as a flare or firework then yes I would agree it is going over the top and I don't think it will be a common thing to happen at rugby games. However this is a major over reaction to a little light hearted fun from some youngsters.
'"

I'm sure you'd have the same opinion if it had been the other way round and it was a Hull fan.

The reality imo, is somewhere in the middle of some the reactions on this thread. Smoke bombs have no place in a Rugby League ground and so anybody setting one off should be removed from the stadium. At the same time, it really isn't a big deal worth spending a lot of time worrying about - they are harmless, nobody tried to set fire to the stadium or harm anybody.

Does anyone know what time the parade starts this afternoon?

Apparently there's an open top bus parade down Holderness Road today to celebrate the friendly win?

I'd like to go down, give the boys a clap and set off a smoke bomb.

I thought he was on about Bradford bulls, but I don't see how the Bradford fire has any similarities to a smoke bomb at the kc.

It's a banned incendiary device, no place at a sports ground, but neither have some of the morons who support both clubs.
