How much time do you allow over and above the normal time. I left Birmingham yesterday for 3 hour journey back to Hull and it took me 6 hrs 10 mins. Sometimes things are just out of your own control, like our coach breaking down the other week. Hemmings is a 2@ by the way.

We left after 4.30 and parked near the ground at 6.15 so 4.30 left them plenty of time.

Eddie came across as a bit of an idiot, but I agree with him and the others on here that say it's totally unprofessional. In 25 years of watching professional sport I've never once missed a kick off of anything and I'm just there to shout - you plan for the worst case scenario, you assume that everything that can flood will flood, everything that can catch fire will, every numpty that can smash their car up on the motorway does. It's unforgiveable to be late.

When Barnsley played at Shorpe in the Championship a couple of seasons back they were in Forest Pines hotel all afternoon ahead of an evening kick off. It's only about 35 miles between the two towns, and the kick off was 7.45 so they had all day, but they covered for every possible scenario. And that's Barnsley, who are hardly the world's greatest or richest football team.

We'd best hope there's no delays with the 2.30 flight to Perpignan next Saturday then. Don't want another delay do we?
