As my email from the Etihad Stadium started this confusion I will now reply to them attaching the links to the statements on the Rhino's and Bull's web site which contradict the information provided to me.
I'll let you all know the reply.

cheers. I emailed the club (Man City) earlier and they replied stating the same. Now am I going to pay my doctor £25 for a note or wave my little card that states I can't eat the rubbish they seerve on concourses!!!

Thank you for your email and highlighting this website.
Please allow me to clarify, Food and drink is not allowed to be taken into the stadium unless it is for medical reasons. Drinking however will be allowed in the stands, and also supporters will get a wristband or stamp allowing them to re-enter the stadium if they choose to leave to smoke or to skip a game.
I apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

This clarifies the situation and I apologise for any confusion I may have created in my desire to inform people.

long as we can leave after the wakey cas game and return for our match, we won't need to take or buy food in the stadium

Might watch the first game and then go out and eat before returning for the big one.

Its sad really, we go to 13 grounds a year no problems, yet we make that short trip to Manny and theres a list as long as Schindlers of dont's. Theres people worrying they cant eat and will be ill. In a way i wish they bin this off, instead of moaning about a game at Easter.

Having enjoyed rugby in most cities across the globe , i really cant think of a better venue, better location and surrounded by better bars and restaurants all in one place that even comes close to Cardiff
Cardiff is the Magic Kingdom of Rugby without doubt....

the other advantage of Cardiff is it feels like a "proper" trip, going to Manchester is hardly an "event".
