anyway, as has been said, it's about success and money, not being able to go to Primark and then Nando's.

Hull has a some very decent shopping attractions when compared to Beverley which basically has a High Street.

Hull also has a lot more to than Beverley regarding Nightlife...various cinemas, a lot more restaurants in various areas to choose from, ice-arena, various bowling alleys, various nightclubs,several drinking areas, City Centre-Cottingham-Hessle- Princess Avenue- Newland Avenue.

The Deep, several museums, 2 SL rugby clubs, a championship football club, numerous sports centres offering a variety of sports, a university.
A lot more choice in the areas and houses.

Surely this is all about personal choice. We all like different things and different places. This thread has turned into yet another willy measuring contest.

Nah, it's the usual story where you come out with some bull, ('Beverley is better than Hull for everything', for example) people pull you up on it and then you try and deflect from your original point (see the quote above).

Nobody has blindly defended Hull, or even claimed it's better than other cities, they're pulling you up on the Beverley comment - plonker.

I said almost, I'd rather shop and eat in Beverley than Hull, maybe you should try it?

Shopping in Beverley is appalling. Mostly, the food is no better than plenty of places in Hull, either. There are some decent places in some of the other villages, though.

Seriously, you'd be better off admitting you were wrong about the Beverley comment rather than keep trying to defend it, Beverley is now largely a suburb of Hull with overpriced houses and not much else. The only things that are far nicer than it's Hull counterparts are it's registry office and the market.
