Last week Seymour's kicking game was really weak, and was ok today. Everything that was good about us today involved Horne though, and I wanted to make sure he got some credit for a change. I agree Horne's not been as consistent as I'd like, but to pretend Seymour has been better when he clearly hasn't so far, is criminal.'"
Each to their own I suppose, but one thing is for sure is that Seymour does everything at a faster pace than Horney though. Horney still acts slow and predictable and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

think you are wrong there, watching todays game, wasn't it seymour who got caught in possesion on the last tackle and had a kick charged down? watching the game closely you would have seen horney run the line and pulling forwards out from the middle creating gaps

| I know he got caught out with the ball in hand, but his passing is alot quicker etc.
You mention Horney taking the line on, correct. But he is the runner out of the two.

| Oh another week another Horne thread this time a little more balanced then the one last week, perhaps he will get the monkey(s) off his back next week.
Then we can select another player for "FALL GUY FOR THE ATTACK OF THE MINDLESS"

Well said. Horne MOM, followed by Mckinnon, then Yeamon I reckon.
HOrne gets too much unwarranted abuse on these boards, and others can do seemingly no wrong. Horne for me was by no means our failing last year, but after last week you would have thought him personally responsible for our last 4 years of woe.
HOrne has been a great player for FC, and I hope this season is a good one for him. Seymour and Horne will do well, IMO.

Shhhhhhhh, you are not allowed to watch the game. Seymour is a god, and HOrne is a worthless cretin. Come on, get with the mindless masses!

Maybe if you had attended for the last few years you would understand some peoples concerns about Horny....As for people declaring him a great player next week it will take more than 2 games to convince!!..Horney has got some good rugby in him however like I say had you attended you would understand it is not consistent, he has had more poor games than good the last couple of seasons. Saying that i am sure all fans will be ecstatic if he can regain some consistency in his final years of the game.

You know why I have not been for the last two years LOL
Most of the current player are the last mobs signings and that includes Rich Horne, I think we should all stand back now and see what developes. Horney has had a couple of serious injury/illness problems and no settled half back partner since Cookey defected. He was expected to lead the team around the park, a job he was never upto, given game plans with no back up plan.
Lets see what he can do now under a proper coach, if not bye bye
anyways how uans doing ?

"FALL GUY FOR THE ATTACK OF THE MINDLESS"....is what you have called people who have criticized Horney, the fact remains he has only produced a handful of decent games and the criticism has been warranted!, last week he was dire, this week by all accounts very good, personally I would like to see very good for a consistent run of games (and believe me I hope I see it). I actually think having 2 half backs biting at the bit in the background may help towards Horney achieving consistency because if he does not either Ellis or Nicklas will play their skin out given the chance to secure a spot.
Oh and I am well by the way

| Horne has been a decent player for Hull, I just can't see the 'legend' status some seem keen to bestow on him. Average super league player in an average super league team, the fact he's a Hull lad seems to cloud peoples' view of him.

| Not read the rest of the thread. He was excellent today with his tackling, kicking, running and distribution. Well played Horney the challenge is to keep that level of performance consistently.
