| Quote jimmyfc="jimmyfc"From what i could see, a few hull fans didn't take too kindly to Maguire and Delaney celebrating Maguires try and decided to throw beer bottles at the Leeds players. This is why Webb made gestures to the crowd.
It looked to me like the "fighting" started because someone stood up to the idiots that were throwing bottles after they'd embarrassed our club.
I left the ground feeling slightly ashamed at the way some of our "supporters" acted tonight.
I'm just glad that it was just a minority and I would hope the majority agree that it is not what we want to see.
I do however think the RFL need to look into the gestures that Webb was making to the crowd.'"
Hopefully the bottle-throwers will get identified and banned. That's just 100% unacceptable, throwing missiles at players. And it would be mitigating circumstances for Webb IMO. What a cr@ppy evening it's turned out to be. Bottle-throwing, embarrassing performance on the pitch, injury to Whiting, finding out Phelps wasn't informed face to face about the decision to release him.

| One of my worst days as a Hull fan today and not because of the performance and result. I was sat in the North Stand towards the away end and watched on as a couple of over-sized FC fans threatened a couple of Leeds families when they asked them to tone down their incesvent swearing in front of their kids. Two of the families walked out on the 60 minute mark.
I saw the bottle throwing incident, which was appalling, but the fighting seemed to be in response to a couple of Leeds idiots goading Hull fans as they walked by. I saw the lanky lad who was with an older fella swing at a Hull fan and then stewards jumped in and did a pretty good job.

Yeah thats pretty much how I saw it. Although the tension was building before then and the bottles were the final straw

you only have to witness some fans step off organised coaches and they are completely blathered before the match!

Not really, most people work on a Friday and only have time for a couple before the match. Plenty of time to get tanked on a sunday as demonstrated at every away match played on a sunday

| Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"Did anyone see the full "incident"?
I was not far from it, and I saw one pint of beer being thrown, a minor scuffle which the stewards resolved in probably half a minute, and 2 Leeds fans being escorted out. Also a Leeds teenage girl with King Kev 13 on her shirt marching along the front of the West Terrace at the end giving us all 2 one-fingered salutes and screeching at the top of her voice before being accosted by 3 stewards and escorted out. Webb also gave us the W****r" gesture too. I'm not excusing anyone that behaved badly, but would like to know some facts, as all we have so far is that the crowd was boisterous and no arrests were made.'"
tbf Webb gave that sign after a couple of bottles were thrown towards the leeds players.

Yeah, seen that since and said Webb could very reasonably cite mitigating circumstances if he does get charged. Hopefully the bottlethrowers will get bans - 100% unacceptable.

Agree with that Mrs B. We could do without these s (sorry for being honest) supporting our team.

Away fans will drink on a coach on a Sunday , Friday night regardless. Home fans , Sunday is slightly less hours before kick off.

| I had a good skinful before the game today as did a lot of others on our coach, yet we felt no need to cause trouble. You will always get idiots whether they have time for 1 or 10 pints.
