The only thing that lets him down is his kicking game which remains poor, arguably too poor for a first choice SL half back.'"
absolutely bang on the money there, well said.
and he has NEVER been a kicker and will gladly hand over that duty to the new guys coming in but agree he is having a good all round season

| Keep Horne away from the long kicking game and he is a very good no.6. Very much doubt he will play centre, AP has already said we are looking to strengthen the right hand side.

Totally agree, very poor kicking game, lost a lot of speed, predictable,a very very average player. I hope Ellis has a good pre-season as although it was only NL1 which we can measure his performance on he looked far better than Horne with ball in hand and his kicking game was spot on, Horney for cover for me.

id rather Horne be in the team than not, and all these going on about his kicking game, Horne has NEVER had a long kicking game, his support play is good, his defence is good, ok, not what it was before his neck injury, but hes still a good defender, get a good 7 next to him and we'll see the Horne of old. that im sure

but thats kind of the point, he's never been a top 4 quality 6, even at his best, he is a great support player buut he just doesn't have the attacking option we need to break into the top 4 regularly.

I'm not convinced, he is a good player and a lot more reliable than Horne, he is just too "expensive" in terms of quota/fed spots if we really want to chase the top of the table.
I've already set aside my season pass money for next year, if AP says buy in October then I'll trust him, if that trust is misplaced then I guess I wont be alone in walking away from the club, and it will be a once and for all decision.

| Horne is slow with decision making often taking a poor option and his kicking is awful! He falls off too many tackles these days too. Well down in the pecking order of SuperLeague stand offs IMO.

| I like Horney and think he has come in for a lot of unfair stick we all know he is a running half with a decent short kicking game but has been forced to take on the organising role which does not suit him, hopefully next season with either Seymor or Ellis alongside him to take the team around the field, we will see horney back to his best.

| Horney has not had the benefit of having a quality halfback partner since 'he who shall not be mentioned' left, when we had the likes of Dykes, Matty Head and Long he was unfortunate to be injured; or they were. Richard Horne is one of the games ever reliable's, one of those players every club needs, but is never give enough credit for the effort that he puts in.
There are times more often than not he's had to carry the burden of being 'chief' play-maker; something he has never been, or professed to be.
Of late he has been in a team that has been badly lacking in 'ANY' sort of play-makers at all. I have been more than happy with his performances this season (all things considered)

Same here Standee, i was adamant i would not get a pass, if at the end of this season, agar was still here, now AP telling us to get the passes in october, im in a dilema of what to do, i want to purchase our passes, but would be extremely disappointed if come start of next season, Agars still in charge!
