They do not do the sittings anymore. You can book to eat at your leisure. Makes it far more enjoyable. Even better when you live in Dunswell.

Is the right answer. Basic but spotless surroundings and the food... An understanding of the Chinese language is necessary to read the Specials board, though - like you said, a good sign. Not pricey, either.

China Red is ordinary, starters are decent but all the mains taste the same. Recently had a really good meal at Lee Garden in Beverley, the Chicken and sweetcorn soup was excellent, followed by a few drinks in the many pubs in easy walking distance.

China Red is pretty good, as is Wok Ever but Hull kingston Convicts is right about the one opposite the Clarence, it is cracking; I thought it was my own little secret! It's pretty basic inside though but great value. They do a brisk lunch trade too.
