OR simply bring Cooke Home and then we do not have to worry about quota, this is Rugby not jeremy Kyle'"

| 33 may not be old but injury prone they are
Players over 30 in our squad
Cusack
Sean long
Shaun Berrigan
Craig Fitzgibbon
What do they all have in common???
If this is our clubs idea of bringing us forward those season tickets will be falling drastically next year.

again the common factor here is that they have all tried to play through injuries that have bitten them back for it, that in my book is not a bad thing to have players willing to be hurt for the team!!
but does show maybe we still lack some depth so we didnt have to overplay them!!

| Well if that is the case i would put that down to bad coaching again. If a player is not fit especially early in the season then there is no need to risk them or burn them out like Agar has done with Fitz.

| A lot wont agree but an in form Galea would be more useful to us then Fitz and if he was off quota he would be ideal if he could stay fit, If Fitz is retained or his quota place used on Galea, I really dont see how we are going to move forward, we need a quota place to sign a halfback or at least a quality three quarter, without one or probabally both we will be stuck in the same rut.

We might end up with Fitz and Galea, who knows? If Long keeps fit then in him and Horne we have a good halfback combo. The only way we would sign another half back is if one of those two leaves, which is not going to happen.
We have decent threequarters, if Calderwood leaves then we can sign another winger, we have to decide if Hall is going to be the centre to play alongside Yeaman and if not whether Briscoe will be tried there. Then there is also Whiting to pay there. There will be room for manouvre and we can also look at British options, it does not always need to be quota players we are thinking about.

| All interesting points Paul but I'd be quite happy to bring matty smith on a year or two deal and think it's quite possible, a overseas player in the position? No chance.
The 3/4's could be good with the correct signings.
Calderwood/replacement
Yeaman
Berrigan/Shenton
Briscoe
or
Calderwood/replacement
Briscoe
Yeaman
new signing(owen, colbun, murphy)
would be good options.
I personnely believe if fitz goeshe doest need replaceing in the back row.

The 2nd option will be more likely than the first, we won't be signing Shenton.

Shenton could pick from a host of top sides, why would he choose Hull? Saints would be a more likely option to replace Gidley or Leeds to replace Senior.

you won't find any arguments off me Paul, just saying I'd make him or diskin my top aims.
Hasn't senior signed a one year extention?
