In my opinion we should keep a tight hold of hall at all costs. He is not the finished article and people seem to be on his back as if he should be doing everything right, every game, all of the time. That's utopia and it's not going to happen for any player.
hall's young, scores trys- his record proves that and has great instinct. He's got that special something but yes, other areas like defence and 'bulking up' will come over time. He's an investment that we need to keep in the bank as we don't know what will happen in the next year or so. I would not say I would prefare him to Briscoe and yeaman, but what about injuries - we only need a 'long-termer' and we're stuffed. Be patient and we'll have a star.

Spot on there, it is clear we have a star, i think Agar is right in holding him back a little, i think Timing will be everything for him. Superb player but just needs the right time to be given the all go at a consecutive run at !

I dont think Agar is holding him back for the right reasons though, He's now 21ish so he should be first choice right centre Imo. Tom Briscoe is 2 years younger ,Should we hold him back aswell , a GB International ?. What a find Ryan Hall was at Leeds , Now a first team regular and GB at 22.

A very good point in reading that, i think now you,ve pointed it out, when we do compare some of our youngsters coming through to the development of other younger players at other clubs we do now you mention it lack in our ability to walk the walk so to speak. maybe he does need to be blooded in. I suppose its a case of fight or flight

IMO At Hull , we hold back our young players too much. It frustrates me to see other clubs playing kids at 17 , 18 , 19 with No problem , Yet Hall at 21 is classed by the coaches as not yet developed . It seems our coaching set up lacks the confidence to "give them a go " , Rather than the players themselves.

who brought T briscoe here and has coached him to bigger things, who would of thought tom would of played for his country already, also his brother jack, also reece lyne stepped up this year and liam kent both at a very young age and they may well even get a run out this season, seems to me everyone thinks agar has a problm with hall,i personaly dont.

Twitter - @MaddyHFC:

For me Hall is the type of player who needs an arm around him, Tell him how good he could be and then give him a run in the side at centre and we would reap the benefits. We did last season to a degree at the back end of the season, it's just unfortunate for him that Whiting has done so well in the first two games whilst he has been covering on the wing.

I hope he makes the spot his own this season, if he doesn't then I think he will want to move on at the end of the season sadly.

I hope he gets offered and signs a new deal. Gunna be a quality centre, bit suspect in defence but he can be taught that. Would have him and Yeaman as centres (when playing on the firmer grounds), keep Briscoe on the wing.

Hall will get the nod over Whiting on firmer ground imo. Briscoe looks a class act and will be a centre in the future but while he is doing what he is on the wing and while we have options like we do i have no issues with him staying as a winger.

It's going to be difficult for Agar to keep all of our players happy with the depth we have in each position.

I don't see how anyone will get the nod above Whiting if he carries on playing like he is at the moment. Dry grounds or not.

Interesting decision for Agar to make. Whiting offers a great deal to the side in whatever position he plays but on firmer ground when teams generally score more points i believe we need to go with a more attacking pacey option. The way that our summers go it may be that we only actually get to play on firmer ground for 4 or 5 games though.
