| Both Hull sides (with obvious exceptions) have longer distances to travel than most teams so that should also be taken into consideration.

If you factor in distance to travel I would say Bradford have the most disappointing away following. (this may have been different during their glory years). Leeds to an extent also have a disappointing away following if you base it on %age of home gates.
Wigan, Wire and Saints generally have the biggest away following at CP (Hull aside) dependant on when the match is scheduled.

| Quote: Mild Rover "What it shows, better than away support in the strictest sense, is what a fixture adds to overall attendance. Two main factors are looked at together IMO - size of away support and attractiveness to walk-up home support. I take no pride in saying that Hull and Rovers decent performances are likely more down to travelling support, as I suspect they are not among the glamour fixtures like Wigan/Saints/Leeds.
Rovers, away support might be the best - [irelative to total support[/i.'"
If we have a good season i think that may change.

| So, in an attempt to take on the "biggest saddo" mantle I have used the attendances in Mrs B's post (added Wakefield v Warrington because it was missing), then I
1. Took the highest and lowest off to take account of derbies and the Catalans v Hudds game
2. Assumed 15% of supporters were away supporters
The answer based upon that bizarre statistical analysis is:
Warrington, Saints, Leeds, Hull KR, Wigan, Hull, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Castleford, Celtic, Bradford, Salford, Quins, Catalans
If you include all games:
Saints, Warrington, Leeds, Hull KR, Wigan, Hull, Wakefield, Castleford, Bradford, Huddersfield, Celtic, Salford, Quins, Catalans
There, that's statistics for you

| if you ever get the chance to ask any of the other superleague chairmen I'm sure they will all tell you that hull and rovers are the best supported away, I've personally spoken to 2 in the past and they are very grateful for the money our 2 sets of fans plough into their clubs (not just on admission but on beer, food etc.)

| Would be interesting to see if a Hull v Rovers CC Semi-Final (if it ever happened) could sell out somewhere like Headingley or Galpharm like they would have in the 80's.

| how hard can it be to figure out who supports who when coming through the turnstyles? For statistical analysis I would have thought it essential to ensure you know within a small percentage point what the gate is in terms of home/away support.
I don't see Saints been best away support when they don't turn out for their own home matches in big numbers consistantly especially considering their success over the last decade.

| Weres that table which states (not including Celtic, Quins or Catalans) that shows Hull have the most miles to travel to away games ?
Surely this has to be considered in any "best away fans" arguement.

It's a very valid point. It makes me chuckle when the Sky commentators praise, say, St Helens for taking 3,000 fans to Warrington. That would be like Hull playing in Brough.

It would definitely be a sell out. And the last one out would have to turn the lights out again
