dont know how true this is but i heard from a fellow rovers fan that calderwood had been offered to bradford in a straight swap deal with one of their players (cook?) without calderwoods knowledge. calderwood then kicked off as he is very happy at hull. as i say dont know how true this is. |

Err hello but I am not saying Calderwood should have been dropped but Tom Briscoe is a top performer. The coach has made the call.
If we lose and dont play Brisoce then I suppose its a case of...hello. you have a GB elite player and dont play him!

If this is the team I am left speachless  , our most enthusastic player in Claderwood left out , Whiting , who admitted he has only played full back when he was a junior but is / was a natural halfback put at full back and Tansey who wants to be a full back , is a full back put at 6 even if you don't want Whiting at 6 for god sake put Lee there . I'm sorry but Agar you leave me speachless , role on 6/7 games into next season when you are sacked !! |

It's a disgrace if he has been dropped PURELY to accommodate Briscoe. Yeaman and Briscoe should have effectively been fighting for the one centre spot left available as they were both returning at the same time and everyone else has been in form.
SHOCKING man management by Agar. Again showing he doesn't have what it takes. We need to win this game.

The elite squad wasnt big at all - 19-20 players at tops with an eye on future world cups!!!

I have to say I'm bloody livid about this team. If there was ever a chance for Agar to try Richard Whiting at half back it was tonight. I cant bloody believe that he has put Tansey in the half backs and Whiting at at full back. The dropping of Calderwood is madness as well.
I have spent a lot of time defending Mr Agar on this message board, but after tonight I'm beginning to wonder if I have been right!

Where have I disagreed? Seriously Robin look at my posts all I have done is put the reasoning behind it. Its a call between Briscoe and Hall, Yeamo, Raynor and Calderwood!
The fact there is no G.Horne and Thorman in the backline is far more agreeable.
Against a big Catalans team Agar has picked a strong Briscoe. If we win it will be a great call and if we lose you will keep showing your love for Mark Calderwood. I appreciate your concern but really dont understand it.
