40 years of hurt. He'll still have his betamax tapes to comfort him. Bless.

| Quote: Hullrealist "There was an interview with him recently where he said he that he didn’t really do a preseason this year so was a bit behind the 8 ball. Then Catalan decided to work on fixing his injury record by popping him on a programme focused on bulking him up. The idea is to work on his ability to perform movements under more load and improve his physical capacity. Pretty hard to have him cutting whilst doing that.
Surely, should Catalan be successful in building him up. We’ll be able to focus on getting him cut for 2025'"
I hope you are right but pre season or not he shouldn't be carrying that much weight.

I'd have Sao and Ese'ese starting. Holmes in the backrow with Cartwright too.

| I don't get why people have solace I the fact Abdul is only costing £50k on the cap. It doesn't matter if he's free if he hardly plays and is ineffective when he does due to being overweight and not fit enough.
People have a lot of faith in cartwright being able to do what previous coaches couldnt with Pele and abdul

I don’t understand why posters find constant negatives about the club and its players.
I realise some are dobbins and the others are self confessed perfect.
However to counter your criticism..
He’s missed 3 games this season.
In his prime rugby years, England international capped, was in the running for MOS, recognised as one of the best kickers in SL.
Oh and he’s costing £50k on the salary cap.
Another personal favourite of mine is that he’s a Hull born lad too.
Plenty of positives there for me..

Just to counter that, he's overweight, unfit, has a poor injury record and is bang out of form, gonna cost the club over £1/2m in the next 3 years oh, and he's from hull

No issue with this as a replacement for Scott. If he's seen as first choice though......

Yep if its Chamberlain for Scott
Hardraker for Sutcliffe
Lafai or equivalent for carlos.
If Chamberlain and Hardraker are first choice I'd worry.

| If they do end up as our first choice centres for next year then I don't think its the end of the world provided we have some sort of attacking shape and they get some service.
Even steady outside backs can have a decent strike rate with good service.
Big if though I'll grant you.
