| Quote Johnny Cash="Johnny Cash"if that comment is aimed at me why?, i have spoken via pm to PaulM, who i have to say is a nice guy and a good Moderator, as long as i abide by the rules i am fine,i am simply expressing my opinion regarding the remark Radders made about returning to the Bouevard, i havent done anything wrong or broken any A.U.P rule , i feel my post was very constructive, i am not doing it to upset anyone the Hull Daily Mail ran the story as did Radio Humberside last night, i am merely commenting on a club related issue that is in the media spotlight , how is that wrong ? , i know radders comments will ruffle feathers and there will be fans that do not want to return to the Boulevard , however there may be fans that would like to return there, why Radders made that comment who knows , i have expressed why i think he did , i for one think the board should comment on Radders remarks, he made them to the local newspaper which of course is going to get people speculating , so i feel it would be apt of the board to be straight with us .

| Where is all this cash coming from.?
City in the premiership this year have done fantastically well, but next season once the first season new boys tag is over and they have been found out will be different. The novelty will be over for some " fans " and the chances are that the season tickets will not all be snapped up. Credit crunch etc will affect city next season if its still going on.
As a watcher of the premiership I notice grounds increasingly with empty seats. Christ even Man U are not selling out every match now. Once that starts to happen you know that the cash is not around.
Those companies that sponsor football clubs will soon start to pull the cash flow. Can you honestly see Barclays sponsoring the game to the extent they do now, in a year or two.?
The champions league in Cricket has been pulled, because ESPN have not been able to fund the £600+m they were paying for it. Money is drying up.
So why oh why would city after 1 good season in the premiership want to increase the capacity to 35000. Look at the crowd at the Riverside now for the visit of one of the best teams in Europe.
Also why would we / our board who are running the club like a business want to move to a stadium that we would have to run at considerable cost.?
Half of our much publicised cash problems pre KC were created by the costs incurred in keeping up the stadium.
As for atmosphere as someone who did not stand / sit in threepenny I do not feel the atmosphere is any worst at the KC. If the team perform as they did in 2006 we will have the atmosphere. If we perform as we did last season then whereever we play we will not have an atmosphere.
As for Radders. He should be sacked from the captancy role as this kind of comment is not sensible at all. As has been said he should be looking to the future. We have A grade licence because we have the best stadium in RL and to go back to the Boulevard would consign us to the also ran status of the likes of our near neighbours.

| Quote ComeOnYouUll="ComeOnYouUll"You cannot compare the atmosphere at the Galpharm to the KC.
As MMJ has pointed out, The Boulevard lost most of its atmosphere in 1985. The atmosphere at many games at the KC has been better than anything at The Boulevard in our last 15 years or so there.
The occasional poor atmosphere at the KC has been more to do with the rubbish we've been forced to watch rather than the design of the stadium.
I seriously doubt that a majority of long term fans would want to move back to a redeveloped Boulevard. As has been pointed out, the cost would be astronomical given the amount of housing around the old place. Can someone explain where this money would come from.
I have wonderful memories of The Boulevard but the KC is our home now, thank God.'"
The first part i agree with . Secondly ,The housing issue around the stadium wouldn't be a major problem as many are due for demolition within 5 years. Gordon st & Airlie st ends would be flattend with new stands built nearer the pitch freeing up space for cars.
I dont know whether the current 3d stand could be converted to an all terraced area like they have at Warrington's ground with a new Best stand with seats.
But like you said , where's the funding for this going to come from.

Right, first off I don't think for a minute you will leave the KC. I don't think Hull City even want this particularly. The KC can cater for two clubs, especially when their seasons only overlap a bit at each end.
However, if City did want the place to themselves (again, I don't believe they do), they could offer FC, what by RL standards would be a massive amount of cash. Redeveloping the Boulevard probably wouldn't cost much more than a good Premiership striker. I just think City would rather have the the good striker than the KC empty during the summer.

| Quote CHEWIE7="CHEWIE7"So....You like the atmosphere at the Galpharm then i suppose?
Tell ya what fella, the KC is a nice stadium (I helped build the place), I really do like it.....BUT......IT HAS NO SOUL. Ok this might come with future generations of FC supporters, but i doubt it very much. FC fans have, over the last few years, seemed to have lost the position of noisiest in the league (apart from our trip to a final in Cardiff
). The Idea of hearing the Threepenny scaring the hell out of the opposition excites me, and if you have a long FC supporting memory.........IT SHOULD EXCITE YOU TOO!!!!! I bet if it was put to a vote for just those that have supported Hull FC for more than 10 years, then they would say a Boulevard return would be better than sharing a ground with another team that think they have a bigger say in the place!'"
The atmosphere in the away end when we are there is great. But thats the whole point some seem to be missing, its not the place its the people there who make the noise.
Hand on heart Chewie, but when was the last time the 3d really put the frighteners up the opposition on a regular basis? There was always the odd one off, but not since the very early 1990's has it been that imposing.
A return to the Boulevard would mean an entire redevelopment of the site which would mean it wouldn't be the old Boulevard so many seem to crave.

Exactly, there is no benefit for Hull leaving the KC for Hull City as it would instantly up their costs.

| On the other hand, if City want a 35000 seater stadium why don't they move out and build one on Boothferry Park.
They can have their spiritual home back and their train station and we can enjoy ourselves at the KC.
