Worth a shot at prop never mind fullback

I was one of those on a previous thread that was dead against signing Phelps, but I did change my mind after reading comments about him on the Wigan board and looking at his stats, I did state this on here.

I dont think the club had a choice but to sign Phelps because of circumstances in and out of their control, he seems a good player, who can cover a number of positions, he has only signed a one year deal which is also good for the club.

Injuries are a worry and the fact that we still have no scrumhalf cover (maybe Lee Williams) is also a concern.

A lot people stated Phelps is a better player than Tansey, not so sure myself Tansey on the field is a good player, scored alot of good trys, set up a fair few and had a big hand in us wiining a few games last year, time will tell if Phelps is better than Tansey.

Signing Obst would be like going to Fuel because Pozition is quiet!

Seriously Mr Agar, we're not "lucky" to have got Phelps, nobody else wanted him.

I think you will find most clubs had filled there overseas quota,so its logic to think he would of been struggling to find a superleauge club with space or cap for him.Unless they call you KR.

What, ALL SL clubs and NRL clubs, the guy had to practically beg for a contract on Twitter FFS!

I'll back him in the B&W, but when you need half backs and fit players going out and wasting a quota and non fed spot on a dodgy (injury wise) fullback isn't good business.

He had to beg because he was out with an injury and if you read the Wigan board some claim he is a good player WHEN fit ...Not sure why I did the shocked look then, we seem to love injury prone players
