You cant say he is nowhere near ready on the basis of a couple of 20/30 mins run outs in the first team
He needs to be given a run of games

Our pack is pretty much much well beaten every game this season. I’ve seen enough of Balmforth to see that he would struggle behind a beaten pack.
The current squad is nowhere near good enough and that’s why Houghton is in there.
It’s not going to do the kids confidence any good getting run over.
Opposition teams will target him like they did Jack Charles.
He didn’t pull up trees at Newcastle so why would you expect him to in our current 1st team.
We’re a shambles this season and two of our biggest earners are playing championship level.
Grix, Myler, Cummins have all played SL level and know what it takes.

I used litten as a good example.
His running and distribution has improved so much since he left fc. He genuinely makes a difference to kr.
You can’t put young kids in week in week out against top level players.
Hopefully with a stronger squad next season we will see Balmforth, Charles etc develop into first team regulars.

Treigh Stewart is the kind of player that "could" be outstanding in SL, but its not guaranteed obviously. Don't know much about Cartwright, he could be a Lachlan Fitzgibbon style signing, or could be a Paul McNicholas

I'd be suprised, not the right player or position and has a lucrative 4 year contract at Wests.

If Pearson/Myler have agreed to pay 180k a year for a quota player who has played 34 games over 5 seasons then they have lost touch with reality.

They will also have some disgruntled players/agents asking for contract reviews and are setting a (very silly) bar for future signings.

Only way I see Sulivan is if he’s coming immediately and signing an 18 month deal that wests heavily subsidise next year. We would then run with the 3 pivots next year before one leaving.

Don’t see this transfer happening. He would suit SL a lot better than the NRL though

34 games over 5 years, the blokes 22. Still a baby in terms of rugby. He’s also played 28 NRL games in the last 3 years and I believe played every game for the tigers this year. Just picking stats to suit a narrative.

He could be on 180k a year but it doesn’t really matter if the west tigers are paying 100K of that.
