| Saw first half of dobbins Leigh game.
Jez Littens passing and running were excellent. He really does make a difference to their attack.
Folk keep banging on about Balmforth but he’s nowhere near ready compared to the likes of litten.

As we made the decision on Jez years ago, it’s not really a comparison we need to make buddy, we must decide if we take this seasons opportunity of having a look at Denieve, with nothing to lose really, we can compare him against Danny, who is now in his last season, and give him a few games, obviously a few of our recent coaches have overlooked this chance, concentration issues was quoted by Grix I think, apologies if mistaken.
My take on a few of the games I’ve seen him, if he reminded me of anyone it was a young Kieran Cunningham, with the build to not only tackle, but to hurt in the tackle, and a short explosive burst of pace, I believe he will become a fine player in the most demanding of positions, and surely we must take this season to investigate his potential.
Incidentally Jez played on the wing for West Hull in his early days, he always had a good pair of hands, and a nice turn of pace.

When have you seen him play?
You cant say he is nowhere near ready on the basis of a couple of 20/30 mins run outs in the first team
He needs to be given a run of games

| Bonaire:
Our pack is pretty much much well beaten every game this season. I’ve seen enough of Balmforth to see that he would struggle behind a beaten pack.
The current squad is nowhere near good enough and that’s why Houghton is in there.
It’s not going to do the kids confidence any good getting run over.
Opposition teams will target him like they did Jack Charles.
He didn’t pull up trees at Newcastle so why would you expect him to in our current 1st team.
We’re a shambles this season and two of our biggest earners are playing championship level.
Grix, Myler, Cummins have all played SL level and know what it takes.
I used litten as a good example.
His running and distribution has improved so much since he left fc. He genuinely makes a difference to kr.
You can’t put young kids in week in week out against top level players.
Hopefully with a stronger squad next season we will see Balmforth, Charles etc develop into first team regulars.

I get your point, and you are correct Jack was targeted in his defence, as do most of the halves in the comp, physically these lads will mainly struggle its natural, but the game time opportunities Charles, Martin, Stavely, Moy, Barron, and a few others have had will be invaluable, and we are in an unusual position at present, no one gives us a hope of winning another game, and rightly so, so we kind of have a free hit.
I’d have Denive on the bench at the earliest opportunity, let Moy carry on as his debut and positioning was first class, Martin is another who didn’t let anyone down, we are perennially on the back foot of this there is no doubt, but this will turn around, perhaps next season and these lads will be ready and waiting for their next chance.
If the impossible does happen, and we manage to actually win another game, may I suggest a giant conga on the pitch is organised, which will surely annoy the like of Wells and Wilkin, and challenge the superb atmosphere of Craven Street.

Richardson stitched us up it that's the case. Doesn't make sense to me unless we move Abdull to 13 and Asiata to prop?
He's an expensive show pony.

| It'd a signing that makes no real sense and would mean more square pegs in round holes so i'd be glad for this to be false.

| Treigh Stewart is the kind of player that "could" be outstanding in SL, but its not guaranteed obviously. Don't know much about Cartwright, he could be a Lachlan Fitzgibbon style signing, or could be a Paul McNicholas

I'd be suprised, not the right player or position and has a lucrative 4 year contract at Wests.
Would eitger be a diaster or brillant and leave us after a year.
not worth the risk, think we need need a centre and Hooker more.

After reading the West Tigers fans forum we should stay well clear.

| I can't see us using all that cap space on 3 halves, all would want to play. FWIW I think Sullivan would be decent over here but if we have signed abdull then where would he play?

| If Pearson/Myler have agreed to pay 180k a year for a quota player who has played 34 games over 5 seasons then they have lost touch with reality.
They will also have some disgruntled players/agents asking for contract reviews and are setting a (very silly) bar for future signings.

| Only way I see Sulivan is if he’s coming immediately and signing an 18 month deal that wests heavily subsidise next year. We would then run with the 3 pivots next year before one leaving.
Don’t see this transfer happening. He would suit SL a lot better than the NRL though
