| Neither Hadley nor Thompson look to have a lot more progression in their games. At least Turgut should have the potential to improve. I'd personally rather he got the game time out the three.

Why does a player have to be in the first XVII every week to justify their place in the squad?
Isn't that the whole point of having squad players, they aren't on top dollar but are good back ups, when we are able to produce a squad full of hull trained players from the academy system things might be different but we don't. And as seen by accquiring the likes of Connor, Griffin etc sometimes the youngsters just aren't of the required standard or the coach doesn't have the luxury of trying to introduce youngsetrs or doesn't trust them to do the job.
the likes of Thompson, hadley etc fill those positions we need just as any other team does.

Well its a forum and its all about opinions. As for SL experience, how does Turgut get it then?.....he will offer more than Hadley AND Thompson when he gets his chance.I have seen nothing in Hadley yo suggest he will be a stand out player and we need something different in the 2nd row.

| I like Hadley and I expect to see both him and Turgut in the same team down the line. But if Turgut fulfills his potential he'll be the one grabbing tries and headlines.

| Hadley isn't explosive or massive hitter in defence which doesn't make him stand out so he gets written off
But for me he's defensively decent with good technique. Solid rinner and has some of the best hands in our pack and is a beautiful line runner. Deserves far more appreciation than he gets on here imo
Id personally have him over thompson when fit. Do think Turgut will surpass them both though

| The thing with Hadley for me is that hes never really stood out. Hes been given a fair few opportunities but has never really taken a game by the balls. Now this is a player who has players like Ellis and Mini to learn from yet he doesnt seem to be progressing. My comment regarding him blocking players like Turgut is true, If Hadley keeps getting the nod in front of him then Turguts chance is getting blocked - he could flop given a reasonable run of games but he could step up and be our John Bateman which is something Hadley sadly doesnt look like becoming

| As you say all about opinions. We see different things in players. As for Turgut be nice to see how he goes at some time this year. Looks like mini wants to go round for another year

I would like to see Turgut on the bench against Saints.
Dont see the point in carrying Connor on the bench.

Given Hadley's squad number, I would have thought he was very much on Radfords radar.
Personally I dont understand some of the comments on this thread regarding a player who has never let the side down. What message would it send out to that player if he were to get over looked for an untried youngster. Turgut will have to earn his place or wait for a dip in form or an injury.
Given that Hadley is not available for selection (at Wakey) it will be interesting to see if Turgut does get his chance against St's. Afterall, with the amount he is being touted on here I'd expect him to be in the starting 13.

| I think Turgut was the only one who really stood out in the pre -season friendlies when the sort of back up team and unders played and people want to see more of him as he looked like he had something about him
Nothing against Hadley - i hope he comes back from Wakey rejuvenated and helps push us on
