Most of the time the atmosphere comes from the performance on the pitch. See Saints H last year and Leeds at H last year as examples. We were worse than poor from the off tonight. Hence no atmosphere.

All we are likely to have next time up is chants of Agar out......unless....... icon_razz.gifRAY:

too early to say what effect the reserved East stand had, the fans were subdued and moaning about the team/Agar even before kick-off, so I don't think it was ever going to be a great atmosphere.

I personally think the kc has always been very flat atmosphere wise compared to the boulevard and think our size of fanbase would be more suited to something similar to the haliwell jones but must'nt grumble its stillma fantastic stadium.

On another note didnt they do an offer tonight £19 tickets if bought in advance so even with that offer people still stayed away so i dont think the recession is to blame i think people are voting with their feet, if i wasnt daft enough to buy a pass i think i mght of even stayed awat tonight.

you are right there was an advanced ticket deal for family's in the West Stand, which makes the crowd figure even worse.

This is the first season in 12 I havnt had a pass, I didn't go tonight because I didn't fancy paying 20 odd quid to watch such an un organised and unstructured team on a cold Friday night, my decision was justified and I'm sure others did the same.

Yep, the club have used the "in any kind of weather" and "keep the faith" lines to justify ripping people off but it dosnt wash with me, and before I'm acused of abandoning my team, I'll probabally go to every away game and watch every game on SKY, I just don't want the club to get my money because as a customer I'm not happy.

Good points. The club milked the stat of 3 finals in 4 years for long enough. Try no play-off wins since 2007 (and only qualifying once) and tell us that "targeting silverware" is a realistic ambition.

FWIW, despite the shortcomings of the squad in terms of balance, I still think if we had a top coach we could make a reasonable season of it. 0 or 1 fom 5, though, and the season's over along with attendances averaging anywhere near last year. A financial loss and more belt -tightening - it's called a vicious circle.

Quote: hullbg "Gonna still be getting 10k at least with 9000 pass holders.'"

Had this been published anywhere?

I doubt we will have that many this season.

4500 less fans there than the opening game of the 2005 season. Thinking back to that game 6 years ago, Blacklock and Kearney made their debuts (strictly speaking so did Tommy Saxton) and we had a new coach in Kear. Morale was high with the fans.

4500, with an average spend of £20 (likely to be more in reality). There is £90k lost. icon_wink.gif

i'd say thats a bloody good attendance given the crap that's been served up for the past 2 years. even the pass holders i know don't want to go but just go out of habbit and the small hope that things might improve. hull fc are going stedily down the pan with the rest of the unbelievably dull super league.

Ill repeat what i said before the Leeds game.

Quote: Sebasteeno "My issue is that when i go i always go with the wife but when you factor in a couple of beers, perhaps a bit of food plus the entrance fee your looking at £100 for the two of us. Now do i think the quality of rugby played by Hull FC is worth £100 when times are very hard and ive got three children and the answer is clearly no. Five drives and a kick, one penalty against us and we roll over and die and bemusing selections means ill be very selective of my choice of games or not go at all till the entertainment improves and that will only be when Agar is sacked or walks.'"

I just hope that more people vote with their feet and the board finally sit up and take notice. The sad reality is that they probably wont and we will slowly go down the pan and get even further away from the rest of the pack. And to think all it would take is to sack Agar and istall a decent coach and then optimism would return and more than likey so would performances.

Are you implying that if we replace Agar with a decent coach for £90k more than Agar's on, the decision will pay back in less than a week? Let's treat any severance as a sunk cost. icon_wink.gif Quite a compelling business case there. icon_biggrin.gif
