Hence the ? in the thread title - not a statement just a possibility. In the extremely unlikely scenario that we beat 3rd placed Huddersfield on Friday we might then say this game was a turning point. In the more likely scenario we revert to a half-@rsed 5 drives, hands on hips performance and get a good hiding, then yesterday was obviously a blip. Thing is you can't say with certainty. icon_wink.gif

Granted, It was a better performance than of late but I dont think Hudds will be cacking themselves either on our performance yesterday. Any decent side would have racked up 30 before half time.

We are a poor side that actually managed a decent effort yesterday but that doesn't change a great deal. A decent side would have comfortably won that game last night. Rovers are a very ordinary side punching way above it's weight and that must be down to Morgan's coaching. For me they're nothing more than a mid-table side pretending to be "top two" contenders and yet we have somehow managed to lose to them yet again.

However it was a fantastic effort by Berrigan, Houghton, Burnett. Lee and both the Horne brothers to be in Sharkeys before 10 o'clock !! They didn't seem too bothered about yet another derby defeat !!

Sorry but I don't buy that as much as I wish it were the case, of the 13 that started for them yesterday at least 6 or 7 would walk straight into our side

I think some of our players played above themselves yesterday. Part of that is to do with the extra enthusiasm that some of the new players have brought in. ATEOTD some of our players are not good enough and cannot play at that level consistently. The return of injured players will help but really it's next year when we can hopefully introduce players whose performance level is consistently good with the ability to peak at the right time. I hope we continue to try and play the offload game for the rest of the season as this in some way makes up for our lack of structured organising halves.

FFS, it dont take much to get you lot talking absolute tosh does it?!

OMG, come on, you raised your game to an above the norm level for 40 mins and all of a sudden you are great again.

You seriously need to revisit some of your more recent threads and see just how poor you all know you are!

Im sorry I can take comments about somethings but fabrication of points to make you feel better are ridiculous!

The better team won on the day, yes you gave us a game, yes you played better than you have for a while, however dont start kidding yourselves about how good you have now become, you are a poor side, have been most of the season, its drivvle like this that makes it hard for anyone to feel any sort of sympathy for you.
Jog on fool...your comment that the better team won on the day says it all about you!

You struggled to beat a poor Hull side at home.....granted you've won the 2 derbies this year, good on ya...we'll wait and see what happens from here on in.

Breath of fresh air that performance. A desire to offload and spread the ball about, solid defence etc We looked like a decent team. I'd rate the players:
1. Tansey - 8/10 Early error but gave us loads of attacking options
2. Calderwood - 8/10 for pure enthusiasm
3. Whiting - 5/10 worst game ive seen him have for a long time
4. Hall - 10/10 Best game ive ever seen him have
5. Raynor- 8/10 looked back to his best
6. Horne R - 7/10 looked better
7. Berro - 6/10 not a scrum half
8. Cordoba - 7/10
9. Houghton - 7/10 shouldnt be starting
10. King - 7/10
11. Manu - 8/10 some class touches in the 2nd half
12. Tickle - 7/10
13. Radford - 7/10

14. Lee - 7/10
15. Moa - 10/10 awsome go forward
16. Burnett - 7/10
17. Horne G -6/10

Another one who believes that the players you have annonced as signing (I wont say have signed yet, we all know it dosent always happen) will make such a big difference that you will become world beaters overnight, it aint going to happen, the players you have signed are not that capable.Still if your putting all your eggs into one basket then who am i to judge?
I think you know deep down that you are a poor side, next year may well drive you to suicide. icon_lol.gif

shrek and fitzy are top class and well sean long is the missing link although I must admit a world class coach at the helm may still be needed as agar doesnt have a clue im just praying that long can coach the team as well as run it on the pitch icon_eek.gif

The game was won by Rovers kicking game yesterday. We don't have one. Sean Long, if stays fit will bring that and out pack will be far more aggressive next year. I am up beat about next year.
I still think its funny tho cos we are very poor and we nearly sneaked a win yesterday. We were by far the better team and Josh easy had Fozzard in the fight! And Houghton easy had Fisher in the same fight. icon_lol.gif

Quote: Mrs Barista "Have we? Friday night's performance should be very interesting. Season's gone but how great would it be to finish the season playing with yesterday's intensity in an offloadathon style? Hopefully quite a few back for Catalans as well.

Glass half full this morning. "Turned the corner" normally wins if you havent won many during season suddenly win 3 or 4 on the bounce not playing well for 70 minutes.

If we win next week ( which i cant see as Huddersfield are the form side ) and against Catalans i agree we will have turned the corner but we havent yet, although yesterdays second half performance was promising
