The pack did great tonight against a big team and once again our pivotal players couldn't create to put the points on the board our forwards deserved. Sean long would of had a field day out there tonight.'"
Buck stops with the coach yet again then...same problem week in, week out yet he persists with the two at half back....mix it up and change it around!

Horne played better tonight IMO
but really we need to go with Berrigan at no7, with Lee and Houghton rotating at hooker....people have suggested this for weeks and yet it still hasn't happened.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "I agree, we were awful and would have struggled against anyone apart from Salford and Celtic on that showing.
However, we did get plenty of field position and I thought our backs looked OK. Our inability to get a quick PTB for me just negates any positives. We know we're very limited in creating opportunities, but if we could just gain some speed and momentum from the PTB, this in itself would at least create some doubt in the mind of the defence. We were standing much deeper in the first half as well, which is a good thing (although Agar complained about this in the post match interview icon_lol.gif ); next step now we've established where to stand is maybe to practice someone running onto the ball.
Doesn't negate a good defensive stint but it is killing us in attack. Salford scored their first try directly off 3 quick ptbs in a row.
Agar was right we were miles too deep all the dummy runners had long since lost their effectiveness by the time Tony had got the wrap around 20 yards behind the play.

TBH he was embarrassing tonight, particularly during the after match phone-in. His utter desperation to paint the game as a major improvement and big turning point bordered on the pathetic as caller after caller shot him down.
Just as bad as those that always look for the worst, only on live radio.

Rich Horne did well for the try but nothing else. Still much better than Thorman who should not qualify for a Hull shirt.

| It is quite clear that there is no gameplan whatsoever. It was 80 minutes of boring rubbish, again. Problem is it's going to be the same for the remainder of the season, until Agar is given the chop there will be no change to the inept, tactically devoid pants that is served up as entertainment.

Yeah, I did. I'm just more convinced by that stat to follow Jake's thinking. The negatives by far outweigh the slight positive of making a few yards against a fellow cack side.

I don't know how he keeps managing it, but he keeps sounding more and more of an idiot. He's got a worse case of foot-in-mouth syndrome than James from The Apprentice!

Positive ....
We're a game closer to the end of the season. Now that far outweighs anything.

There were long periods of poor play again however it was individual errors which cost us a greater winning margin. Graeme Horne should have given Raynor a walk in and Broughton's shambolic defensive positioning gifted them a try. 2 players not good enough for a team with top 4 aspirations. Top players don't make those errors.

No one would then be saying it was garbage.

yes if we'd had proper tactics set out from a proper coach, and players with some creative ideas we'd have walked it
but it wasn't 44-12, it was 14-12 and it was garbage

| Quote: Jake the Peg "OK, a win's a win, but that was rubbish again tonight IMO. salford are the 2nd worst team in SL, with a paper thin squad and a number of injuries keeping players out tonight. And what do we do? Scrape a win courtesy of a couple of tickle penalties and a dubious disallowed try. I can't see any positives other than the 2 points and can only see us beating celts between now and the end of the season.
At times we looked clueless and for me the overall performance was no better than the last 3. Only managing to score 2 tries against the 2nd worst defence in the league says it all'"
I wouldn't be over confident on winning that game either TBH. I took my Wife and kids to see them play Wigan last week ,(my eldest likes the Pie eaters for some strange reason), and the Crusaders played pretty well, and Wigan were nowhere near as bad as we have been for most games this season.
