| I don't think Thorman will either be dropped or moved to FB, the key for our halves to be effective is LF, and that has to be either Washbrook or Whiting.
Horne and Washy was excellent in 07 as Washy predominantly worked the right side with Horne, Judas worked the left with Yeaman, since he jumped ship we've had nowt on the left. Lee can work left but I think Whiting has all the attributes to work either side effectively, this is the dilema Washy or Whiting at LF, I personally would go for Whiting, but it wont happen.
Starting props of Yak and Radford with Dowes and Maloney off the bench, Berro and Houghton off the bench,
Tickle and Thackray (radical I know) he's more effective running wider than tight, Manu off the bench.
Reardon
Calderwood
Hall
Yeaman
G Horne
R Horne
Thorman

| Thorman
balsawood
whiting
yeaman
hall
r horne
lee
dowes
berrigan
thacks
radford
tickle
washbrook
king
cusack
manu
houghton
Interchanges I would make, barring injuries:
cusack for thacks 20 minutes
king for dowes 30 minutes
manu for radford 30 minutes
houghton for berrigan 30 minutes
radford for manu 50 minutes
dowes for cusack 50 minutes
thacks for king 55 minutes
berrigan for houghton 60 minutes
manu for tickle 65 minutes
King for thacks 70 minutes
cusack for dowes 70 minutes
For me that would keep everyone relatively fresh and give us some impact in the 10-15 minutes leading up to half time and the same towards the end of the 2nd.
kear won the game on Friday with his interchanges. drew came on against a tiring side and tore us to shreds. Berrigan can do the same if used correctly and with fresher players around him. It's stupid playing forwards for 80 minutes a game and propos 60 minutes plus. There's no need and it reduces how effective teh players are.
I also like the idea of bringing 2 or 3 players on together rather than one at a time. It gives added impact IMO.

Not enough gametime for Manu imo. The game would end up passing him by. He should not be doing the 80 mins but he should be doing around 50-60 mins and he should be starting too.

Disagree. He should be used for impact, not ploughing it up the middle. use him when defences are tiring and he's fresh. Mind, we need a decent playmaker for him to feed off. Similar player to puletua and lauatiti and I doubt either of them are doing 60 minutes a match

The problem is we don't have a decent playmaker so he needs ot be out there more. Play him until the 30 min mark and then rest him for 10 mins plus halftime and bring him on 10-15 mins in the second half.

I don't see the point in having set times for when to bring a player on/off. It seems as though this is what Agar does. For instance, why would you bring a player off at a certain time if he is having such a big affect on the team and the opposition can't handle him? Fair enough some eventually need to come off for a breather eg Manu. But for gods sake don't have set times for them. Pointless.

I Agree, it really is a joke that barring Berrigan we don't have any playmakers that are better than average at creating things.

There obviously needs to be some flexibility. It would only be a rough guide to when I think we should be giving players a breather

| Agar has tried changing things around but the problem is he just hasn't changed anything else such as the game plan etc. Anyway, if R.Horne is back and Reardon is available too then I would go for:
Reardon
Calderwood
Hall (kicker for this game)
Yeaman
Broughton
Washbrook
R.Horne
Dowes
Lee
Thackray
Burnett
Radford
Whiting
Moa
Maloney
Manu
Berrigan
I feel that Tickle has been very average and feel that the 3 second rowers named are better at the moment (judging Burnett on form before his injury, but looked quite good on Friday too). I also don't see what G.Horne has been adding to the team either at the moment (although he did O.K on the wing at St's) added to the fact I want to see Hall back at centre. If Reardon is out then I would put Hall back to 1 and G.Horne at centre.Thorman has to be dropped. He is terrible and Washbrook showed more in the first half than Thorman has since Bradford away. Berrigan has looked better coming off the bench in the past two games and feel Lee looked very dtermined in the past 3 games and would prefare him to start at the moment

I don't understand why people keep picking Broughton for the wing
Horne and Hall are both better players and would do a better job on the wing than him but people seem to pick Broughton and I just don't know why?

| The main thing that has got to change is loose man. We are currently too easy to defend against and this is partly due to playing an extra prop at 13.
I think Washbrook did enough last Friday to warrant another starting spot and if Horne is fit again, this should be at 13. Our attacking play has got to have more options to keep the opposition defence working. Everyone should be involved in every set of six either with ball in hand or dummy runner. In recent matches too many players see us having possession as a chance to have a rest and wait for the next tackling stint.
I would personally start with Burnett and bring Manu off the bench for impact.
