Nothing personal, but the mental image of you with a monk-on, sat beneath the leaking roof made me snort-laugh, and turned an ordinary post into something of literary merit.
Tickle didnt do much wrong in the sense of the rules of the game. I'd expect it of a young kid wanting to make a name for himself rather then a 35 year old who's been round the block long enough to know whats right. The criminal thing about that incident was Hewer calling it a knock one when there is clearly a reef on the ball after Tickle made it a five man tackle.
Another inconsistency was Scrutton ont spending some time on the side lines after contact with the head. Faraimo saw red for a similar offence in good friday.
That said, it would have papered over cracks. The right team won on the night.

Personally, I have had enough of Rovers doing what others tell us is right - what’s best, and a bit of dark arts, makes a nice change. Like when Connor gets lauded for being a gobe, by you some of you lot.
I don’t remember the Scruton contact with the head one but i’ll look out for it when I watch it back. Can you recall roughly when it was and who he hit?

I think the Connor gobbing off issue has become a bit of an urban legend. Does he really get under the skin of the opposition that much? I am not so sure. Its not like he is constantly chipping away at the referees ala Sinfield, Brears, Wellans etc.
Scrutton was a late hit on Adbull, around 65 mins in. I appreciate he is not the barometer of accuracy, but Cummings in the studio does say "if there is contact with the head, hes in trouble". When Faraimo gets a Red for the VR informing the on field ref of the incident on Good Friday, I would have expected a yellow for Scrutton, given that there was contact with the head.

Connor pretending to be neymar to milk a penalty, getting up laughing and causing what ultimately became the end of your season was the bit he was probably on about.

Thought it was Bobby asking to take the two.

I’d broadly agree with that. But the perception of what he is, is well within tolerances for what i’d expect fans of his own team to excuse or even enjoy. I don’t think there’s many fans on either side who’d draw the line in a place that excludes from acceptable a tackle like Tickle’s in a derby when made by their own side.

I remembered that as being Jewitt. Yellow would have been a tad harsh imo, but it wouldn’t have been the most egregious decision of the night, I admit. That’d still have been the VR missing Griffin’s knock-on assist for Abdull’s try.

There was 2, first one when he challenged for the kick and the second when he punched the ball over the try line for abdull

I think there was conclusive evidence.
However the fine distinctions between certain, beyond reasonable doubt, confident etc. are difficult for the VR when things are sent up with an on field decision. Assuming the VR saw Griffin’s fingers move, I think the VR must have taken the question to be ‘is there a theoretical possibility that’s caused by something other than contact with the ball?’
And, tbf, absolute certainty is impossible. Of that I am absolutely certain.

| Mrs B that thread has cheered me up, some of the posts from Rovers fans are pure gold.
Tracy claiming Jordan Cox was a a better player than Ellis or Barham Red claiming he would't challenge for trophies or get international honours at Hull, I'm not sure what is funnier.

| Firstly apologies for being over exuberant in my delight at a long awaited derby win. It's been a long time coming.
I do think that Hull FC have more problems than a bad injury situation I stick by that. You're not going to become a bottom 4 team any time soon no doubt but I think you have settled into a bit of a lull.
Your Super 8 games may seem unimportant but I think Lee Radford will not agree. For all the loyalty of Pearson I think Radford's job rests on the line.
I think there will be little to choose between the Hull clubs next year in fact we may just edge ahead of you. Of course we still have to stay in the league first!
I predicted a while ago you would finish 8th that was possibly wishful thinking but it's far from impossible now. Play like you did at St Helens in the cup and you'll soon have me and others retreating back to the Hull KR forum.

Not a bad post to be honest.
I'd be amazed if Rovers finished above us next year though, need some big recruitment to achieve and considering you are at Full cap with your current squad and are rumoured to have signed the likes of Hauraki, Keinhorst and another Salford player whose name I can't remember I don't see that happening.

You know what, I didn’t see the second one until I just watched it back now, and the VR didn’t look at it either. Good spot! I suspect that is what incensed Blair, as he has the clearest view of it. Can’t really grumble at the officials, having missed it myself. So Griffin got away with a shove and [itwo[/i knock-ons, in one play - uncanny.

The only time I have been to the KC stadium was back in June 2010 when I watched Hull come back from a second half score of 6-26 against St Helens to win 27-26. No kudos for guessing who scored the final try, landed a last minute field goal and was the match hero. Also in the side was Danny Houghton.
It was the first match I had seen Hull play at home for almost 45 years and will forever be remembered as one of my favourite Hull matches. Cannot remember another 20 point come back against St Helens.
