Really will be a massive loss for us next year.'"
How will he be a massive loss next year when he has been virtually absent all this year?

Please don't put Charnley up alongside Hall, he's not there yet.

I'd be quite happy with Lee Smith. Was a very good player for the Rhinos.

Absent all year
Have you been watching us this year. Right from the get go we have played down Crooks and Lineham's wing this year. Last season was the opposite (probably because we played to Manu) We lost Ellis before a tackle in anger and proceeded to play down the the opposite channel. Not sure if this is because Holdsworth can only pass in one direction or because it was a deliberate ploy by Gentle. Either way Briscoe was starved of possession. I bet he thought he was playing Rugby Union during some games, he saw that little of the ball.
When he did see it it was usually as a result of a kick down field by the opposition, he ran it in hard and with passion.
I believe it was the tactics of Gentle that saw him ultimately looking elsewhere.
His tackles bust stat of 86 for the season suggests he was effective
288 carries of which 95 were from dummy half shows he was looking for work. Along with 23 off loads
2624 metres carried at 9.1 metres av per carry.
19 clean breaks.
His stats show what a great player he is and what he has done this season. Compare to Crooks and Lineham who have had fantastic seasons and you will see how good he has been.
To see where I got these from look here www.superleague.co.uk/stats/player_stats
Tom will be a massive loss for us. He can create out of nothing and will rarely let you down. He does make the odd error with an average of 1 per match almost, but that can be said across the board.
I must admit that I generally do not go on stats, but given how some have reacted to Tom all season I was curious to know the truth as I don't see him as being that bad. As I say I strongly believe it was PG's tactics that worked against him along with DJ's limitations and Ellis being out for far too long.
He will be badly missed.

| Seconded, Smith is awful - I was disappointed when the dobbins missed out on him a couple of years ago.

| Where is lee smiths prefered position? because he couldnt possibly be better then horne or whitting, as half back or three quarter cover, a waste of salary imo if rumours are true.

Played mainly centre at wakey, only covered hal bk when tim smith cleared of
Won 2 GF with leeds at fb getting the m.o.m award in 1
Started off as a winger at leeds and is a good goalkicker

Could be quite good then, but will he want to sit in the stands waiting for his chance? or do you see him starting regular?

He was outstanding in that MOTM winning grand final for L**ds . The only players I'd take from Wakey now would be Kirmond & Collis.
