| Quote: The Hollywood Frasier "I agree on both counts and its a shame as without Hall in the side we only have Briscoe who has shown the ability to score long distance tries.
The fact Sia Soliola will be playing left centre for Saints, IMO gives Hall the massive advantage when it comes to when we have the ball as Soliola is a massive lump of a guy who is probably a better backrower than a centre and could struggle if he gets in a 1 on 1 situation with Hall.'"
Very true about Hall and Soliola but it would also work in reverse, Soliola could well run over the top of him and the heavier ground will not suit Hall.

I've said before (probably in this thread actually) that when you start tinkering around with the team so as to stop their threats you are on the back foot right from the off. Play to your own strengths. Of course it would be stupid to completely ignore St Helens attacking threats but you shouldn't play/drop someone purely because they've got a big centre. If your that worried about him stick Fitzgibbon out a little wider when we are defending.

| For me with Hall, its the way he drops off tackles which to me is more strength in shoulders and arms, he also doesnt get low enough which is a confidence thing. He really needs to get down to the new clarence for some of them mammoth dinners (with Horne).
I'd still shove Hall in though, just for entertainment value, I love watching him with ball in hand.

Very good point. If I were picking the side then hall and Yeaman would be my centres and I would have Yeaman up against Soliola. I just don't think Hall will get the nod, he deserves it though the way he finished last season.

Not so sure, his defence did not look as good in the friendlies as it did at the end of last season. We need solid defenders across the park against Saints or they will hurt us.

I would love us to adopt that philosophy and think Leeds and Saints away is perfect for it!

I understand your philosophy however when Craig makes mistakes his head goes down, so I am not sure your theory will work, do not get me wrong he has a gift for scoring and he could become a seriously classy player, he just needs to nail his defence a bit more, the friendlies were just a hit up, the kid certainly has it in him to work in this area as we saw at the end of last season. I will go with whoever Agar chooses tbf, I love this scrapping for shirts situations it will get the best out of all the players in the long run.

This is were Fitz comes in, play him second row on Halls side to help him out. Thus freeing up the LF spot for Washy! It really is simple!

On firmer ground thats exactly what i'd do. Currently i'd stick with Whiting in the centre and Fitz at 13.

| We have had tough starts to our league campaign facing the likes of Leeds and Saints early on a couple of occasions and as you know it can pay off for you. You guys should be confident, with the new additions and what looks like a decent pre-season, you can be reasonably confident of getting something out of this game.
