Could be, Pearson does say in that article that their specifically looking at players that Cartwright has worked with in the past.

| Hopefully him and Niu. Would really add pace and power to the backline.
The way Sailor plays he could definitely play 6 to cover any halfback injuries and Moy play fullback

| Sailor would be unreal in SL. I think he would be a short term signing but it would give moy time to fill out and work on his final pass.
Niu is another one I’d be all over, got the punch in the backline we’ve missed in a while. Hopefully would be the second coming of the bin man (but with pace)
If the quota spots rule change, I’d be offering Carlos a low risk contract with appearance related add ons. I know it’s an unpopular opinion but he is still our best centre when on the pitch and if he’s non quota, he is worth the risk

| Sailor has made noise very recently about leaving Brisbane. It did say that he wants NRL game time but maybe a year or two in SL could be a better stepping stone then back up somewhere else.
If he’s offered game time in the NRL no chance but if he ends up over here you’d imagine Salford would be interested as they made a play for Sullivan. Would imagine the likes of Wakey, Leigh, Catalans, Hudds and even some of the bigger clubs might also be interested, be an indicator of how serious the investment is if they we can get him.

| Aaron Bower linking us to Cade Cust which is just odd. Would've taken him last season but not now we have Abdull, Trueman, Bourouh and Balmforth signed up

It doesn't seem very likely to me.

| Can't see the point in his signing, waste of a quota spot on a back up, rather keep Reynolds.
Can't see this happening.

| Absolute nightmare this forum at the minute for posting.
Does anyone feel deflated. Pearson talks about trying to sign some top nrl talent which will make our spine string. Then get linked with Cust

Unless Trueman is off too? Cust would be uninspiring, but at a similar level to the rest of our signings, could see it happening...if it does, the dreams of wealthy investors coming in are well and truly over. He was at Manly when Cartwright was, so fits with the earlier statement of new signings being people Cartwright has worked with...

There's no point getting wound up over rumours, there are so many.

That's why I take a large pinch of salt with anything Pearson says.

| I'd guess the intention for Cust would be to play him at Hooker

Like his claim last season about all our new signings being from the NRL and being 6"3 and over or something?

| We should still have 3 quota places, FB and centre, maybe Cust is the 3rd.
I still wouldn't sign him and don't think we will though.
Could be agent using the media again to get him a new deal.
