Some superb (not "alright"icon_wink.gif attacking rugby tonight like we haven't seen for decades. Excellent support play and deft passing/off-loads. First game of the season and looking very promising. So they went off the boil, big deal, they'd already got it in the bag and were two interchanges down. Yes, they could have managed it better than they did in the last 20 minutes and I'm sure they and Radford are as disappointed as we were with that but, boy, that was exhilarating at times.

What a terrible pitch which produced an inevitable errorthon. The Dragons stood up well defensively though and will give Hull a real go in France next Saturday.

yeah i would agree with this. i expected a bit of a dip with these 2 on but it never really happened. very encouraging

Maybe the reason Radford drafted Yeaman into the 19,was still thinking about possibly changing Logan.
If thats the case would rather see Michaels on the wing with Fonua at centre.Whatever you think of Michaels his defence is good.

Looks like I was watchingg a different game Manu outstanding so aggressive fights for every blade of grass in every tackle really laid the platform in the first half think we really missed him in that last quarter he was very close to been MOM can not argue with Danny he played big minutes and was excellent Manu off load to Logan worth the entrance fee class player reall players player tough as f>>k

Great first hour but not so good in the last 20, due in part to the lack of back row interchanges - pritchard was knackered and really needed to be off the field which left our left edge looking a bot soft defensively. Also thought we really lacked a bit of leadership in that last 20 and gave the ball away too easily, however the game was won so it's not fair to be too critical.

Manu was a beast in attack and defence and no coincidence that we were better with him on the field - hopefully it wasn't anything serious. Was minichello injured? He hardly seemed to get any game time.

Still some work to do on our edge defence but good signs with ball in hand and I'm keen to see how we do against a better team next week

Just woke up after an intense post match celebration, not 100% sure how much Guinness was consumed so I will have to check my wallet.

Anyhow, it looks like we have finally sorted out our attack which is the key to a decent season for us I feel. Wasn't particularly impressed with the final quarter, took foot off the gas and became sloppy in defense, some big holes appearing down the middle if I remember rightly. Danny making how usual blistering runs through the line, not lost anything. All the boys were looking up for it which is good to see.

In terms of us, well done everyone for a great atmosphere and a lot of noise. When frank scores on that field I am sure that we are gonna go absolutely mental! Lol

I was impressed with how much stronger our lads looked in the collision compared to Salford. They hardly ever sat our players down on first contact. We were still driving forward for yards and sometimes just having to take the tackle stood up because they couldn't put our players down (and not just the forwards but the backs too).

Looking at the stats, really impressive go forward by from Frank, Bowden and Talanoa.

33 missed tackles is a bit of a worry and needs addressing. We won't have the cushion of a big score against better teams
