| Quote: Diablo1967 "Ellis - Just a machine. I didn't think we'd get a better player than Sir Fitz, but Ellis is just brutal.
Watts - Under Gentle was a plodding forward. Gets better all the time.
Talanoa - like another prop. Just barges in, breaks tackles and causes problems.
If we'd have been smarter last night, we'd have had 50, no question. Just simple stuff like backing up, sitting on someones inside on a break, second phase attacks.
Rankin looked pumped up. I was very impressed with his work ethic and he's an honorary Hull lad now.'"
I like Rankin he has pace and good feet, he defends pretty well also, I'd like to him been given a run at centre in pre season.

He will get better when Pryce arrives, he will learn a lot from him, both are running 6s, plus he will have to train/play well to keep a place, so it will be win win for FC.

| Sa was excellent too, especially in the first half. He should have been playing at centre for weeks.

We saw last night that Sa is basically made of Granite!
Ellis
Watts
Talanoa
Notable mention to Azza. He is the type of player who if he is playing for the opposition you'd hate him.
Final notable mention to Travis Burns for the continuous dummy spits, poor passing and unforced knock ons he did. Cheers Travis, you helped us out no end last night

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

Agree he was excellent, puts on some big tackles consistently, think it was only his fitness that kept him out of a starting role

Yes different roles, but not equal importance to the team. Westerman is involved in everything we do near enough, in both attack and defence. Ellis gets a little rest out wide at times, 3 or 4 big hits and a hit up every other set and he's golden.

Or could he be the hooker/acting half we need? I could see him there and with Pryce and Sneyd on at the same time it would give us more skill and guile in the middle than we've seen for a while. Good option from the bench to cover any of those slots as well.

| Still think we will really miss Azza next year.
Always looks like something might happen when he's on (even though Danny H played very well last night)

| Don't think I've seen a Hull player hit so hard, so consistently , as Ellis.
Westerman was also rag dolling a few last night.
Watts could also be anything he wants to be to be honest. Think he's settled down off the pitch recently, which hopefully means he can fulfill his undoubted potential on the pitch.

Apparently Ellis made 138 metres last night. Not too shabby.

His running game does seem to have really picked up. Often he gains a lot of metres from a standing start as well.
Hopefully the Halfs next year will be able to read the lines he runs and help him out a bit.

| Sa is turning out to be the centre we've always wanted. Loved watching him last night and took his try exceptionally well.

Agreed. Can't see too much passing the side he's defending!
