The club have already got my money and I have pledged my support for the season. Like all other season ticket holders I expect something additional than a financial saving over the year.
Especially now I don't get a free cap or a burger.'"
You have pledged your support well done. I hadn't realised I had to do that. I suspect if we were not on a civilised forum I give you a real piece of my mind. You sanctimonious up start.
I suppose 36 years of actually supporting the club with 21 of them from 200+ miles away I must have missed the pledge allegiance ceremony.
Mods. I will disappear for a while now just to keep the right side of the aup.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Why disappear?
I agree with the club on this, they should be incentives for people to get a season pass.

"Up start"? I wish.
You don't get a pass, you miss out on an event, boo hoo.

| Quote: east hull FC fan "Pass holders get up to 4 games free and priority purchase on CC tickets etc. That's enough of a 'benefit' in my eyes.
These events should be available to ALL fans.
What about the guy who can't afford the initial £200 outlay, so instead pays weekly but goes to every game? He puts more into the club, what does he get?'"
Whilst I think there perhaps are people in this situation (possibly more so now than in previous years due to the economic climate), it's not realistically something that should be common, or at least not without being at least partly their own fault. If you can afford every home game, in most cases you should also be able to afford to put money to one side for when renewal time comes around, it's just a matter of money management and prioritising what you spend on. We're talking less than a fiver a week, which is less than a quarter of the price of a matchday ticket, approximately the cost of a couple of pints, a packet of cigarettes, or a takeaway for one.
Or, given that the last few years have been a steady stream of mediocrity, there was the option to miss a season and save up the ticket money you would have spent.

Quite. I would have liked to have gone to the Faithful 400 event, but accepted that a) I wasn't organised enough to be one of the first 400 and b) I wanted to wait until the last minute to get my discounted reserved seat. Not sure how they could accommodate (up to ) 13,000 people in the Kingston Suite.

Yup, I couldn't make the 400 event and other fans' forums are usually out of the question for me. I don't let it bother me though like some on here.

| i'm not a passholder but i don't have a problem with any of this, passholders stump up a big sum of money which helps the club and deserve a few perks, also as an incentive to buy a pass in the first place

And you get to meet players who if they really cared would say Hello as they are walking into the ground - You really dont know what you are missing Graham Richards by not buying that precious pass.
When did being a Passholder become the be all and end all of supporting a Club of any kind. What it does say on this Forum is that we may Support the same club with a passion but we dont much like each other as people

I don't dislike anyone on here. I've only met a handful for a start.
Some like Graham Richards seem to have a short fuse but that is their problem.

That's not the point.
The club have rewarded those paying £200+ upfront with a photo opportunity with the players. The same photo opportunity, incidentally, that's been available pretty much on a weekly basis to the general public at the club shop over the last couple of months. Graham Richards feels this is divisive. He is completely entitled to that opinion. When others point out why they believe it's reasonable, he says he'll have to refrain from posting in case he posts what he thinks of people that think it's reasonable. I think this is more a manifestation of :
1)the tedium of the off season and
2) that to bicker with our "family" at this time of year is pretty much compulsory.

Thank you for the Lecture Mrs B - but please refer back to page 2 when I pointed out to Chris 28 that I did not have an issue with the Club inviting season pass holders to a Player meeting ( I can buy a pass between now and then if I so wish) but in my opinion and this is a new thing that has come since we left The Boulevard - if you are not able or have not the disire to be a passholder you are deemed by 'fellow' supporters to be not as dedicated Supporter as those that have the precious pass.
I agree that there is a certain tedium in the off season - Thank you Martin Aspinwall for bringing some debate to this Forum - I cant believe how many 'there by the Grace of God go I' people support Hull FC.
As for bickering - well yes this is my point - Most of us would run a mile rather than spent time in each others company apart from on the terraces.

| I really don't care about meeting players. What I care about is the lack of recognition for those who for whatever reason can't shell out for a season pass. In my case its not financially viable as I can't make enough games to make it viable. It would have been with the voucher exchange policy.
My kids though who through me pledge their support to the club would love to meet the players. Ok Mrs B we all have the opportunity through the signings at the shops and open training sessions on Thursdays during term time. But because dad didn't get a pass they are excluded. Now who would love this kind of event the most. All you lot who spent £200+ up front or the kids?
Anyway tis the season to be jolly. Roll on February 5th when we can vent our spleens at the ref and the millionaires from Cheshire. At least I have pledged to make that journey to support the boys.

I sympathise, and accept that a pass isn't worth it for you. But the club's in a difficult position too. They have to incentivise passholding, and have removed the voucher scheme. A meet the players event is one way of doing so. The logistics of making an event at the Kingston Suite a free for all are a bit challenging. They do offer the shop signing events and open training. In reality, I'll not get any benefit in all likelihood either, as it sounds like the event is the day before the Bradford game, and I'll not do a 150 mile round trip 2 days in a row and will prioritise going to the match. I feel that the club is making an effort to engage the fans with more frequent events than in previous years. Your viewpoint is different as you put money in but don't see the reward. As already said, that's fair enough, but there are different ways to view this event.
And a Merry Christmas to you too.
