I was of the understanding that if the dual contract scenario is true you have to pre-register your players and cant mix and match during the season otherwise it makes it pointless.

As i say, the biggest confusion for me is that it's never actually been confirmed.

Do you have anything that says about dual contracts? Could than not have simply been a loan?

I would say the whole benefit would be the flexibility a club needs with fringe players. Some fringe players in January may become established first teamers by February so whats the point of having a dual registration! Surely the idea is to highlight a player who is not getting regular first team rugby and does not benefit playing U20s to then go to a NL1/2 club. That way if the player is needed back at short notice this can happen.

I wouldn't let him go, need him for the Easter period. Either back rower gets injured then he'd be straight in for me. Think this dual registration would be more beneficial to players such as J. Briscoe, Lyne, Tuffour or Kent, players who have only just come up to the first team not players who have been around it for 2 or 3 years.

i wouldn't loan him out to another SL club ,Not yet anyway. I'd look at the situation after Easter, It's going to be a tough period for the club.

No way should we let him go at the moment.

1. We are finally seeing the benefit of some competition for places in the team.

2. We only need one back row injury and he is fairly likely to make the 17.

3. We surely need to rotate the pack if we can over/after Easter, especially with the big cup game coming up.

Agree with bones, wait until after easter, and if everyone is still going, and Burnett has not played, then maybe a loan / dual reg would be the go. I really like and rate Burnett.

Cas have taken Mike Cooper on loan from Wire anyways
