HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God: |

Corruption goes on in all walks of life, so why is it ludicrous to suggest it MAY go on in rugby league?
Assuming you are a Cas fan, I am pretty sure that you or some of your fellow supporters may have felt the RL were bent when they didn't punish Wigan harshly enough for breaking the salary cap, which lead to them avoiding relegation and Cas dropping out of super league.'"
He is inept, not corrupt.

It may go on in rl, who knows, but I personally don't think Childs is corrupt, more incompetent and way out of his depth. If you read comments on here, the VT and Cas board you'll see its a wide range of teams that are on the wrong side of him, he's not Phil "I heart Wigan" Clarke

10603.jpg Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?:10603.jpg |

I'm not Saying he is bent, I am just looking for answers as to how I witnessed the worst performance I have ever seen from an offical at any sporting event.
I would love to simply put last night down to the fact that the guy is out of his depth, but some of the decisions were so baffleing it did leave me asking myself some uncomfortable questions.
As I said before, the performance last night was either incompetant and totally unacceptable or a blatant display of cheating. I stand by that remark.

| there is no point debating who should or shouldn't have won, as realistcally we will never know. With a better Ref Cas may have turned in a great try scoring display similar to the one against crusaders, Hull may have backed up their display at Quins with strong running and quality tries but we will never know because the Ref didn't allow either team to get into their stride. Lets just hope that when we meet again we have a ref who allows the game to flow and lets the headlines be about the game and not about the ref's whistle.

OLD FAITHFUL PAL OF MINE: |
|
| I drove to Hull and back from Newcastle last night just for the game. I'm glad I did, I thought it was an enthralling game. Both teams tried to throw the ball about. Both teams where well up for it. It was very tense and very closely fought contest the whole way through, and the result could've gone either way right to the death. I thoroughly enjoyed the game as a spectacle.
However, I do wish (not because I am a Hull fan) that Yeamo had managed to sneak over in the last minute to secure victory. This is because all the justified criticism of the referee's performance would not then look like sour grapes. It really is not. Cas showed up well and are deservedly 2nd in the table, they looked dangerous with ball in hand and defended very well. I did not see a gulf in the teams that the league table suggests though and thought Hull deserved something from the game.
John Childs should be embarrassed and ashamed of himself. I have never seen such a complete and utter inept refereeing display in 20+ years of watching rugby league. The awarding of some penalties was baffling and the inconsistencies quite simply shocking. I really do hope that the coach and/or club put in a formal complaint to the RFL or the RFL take it upon themselves to at least review his display. It is pleasing to read that several Castleford fans (on these boards) have also been gracious enough to admit that some of his decisions left them bewildered. They say a good referee is one that ghosts through a game relatively un-noticed. Well it would appear that last night John Childs wanted to be the highlight of the game and he certainly succeeded in that. It is of course impossible to say what the result of the game would have been with a different referee, but I do fell in such a closely fought contest that his influence alone impacted on the result.
Well played to Cas on the result and well done to the fans for making plenty of noise.

I have never had reason to get involved with you - but please on your bike - Last nights game between Hull and Cas is nothing to do with a Red and White - go and discuss your drubbing at Saints
