To be fair i think you are correct too, young Gaskell and Lomax look the real future of GB at present and still so young but both definately worth a run , these kids nowadays are so full of confidence they are ready almost immediately they play for their clubs.... Like the young kid on the wing at saints too..
So many issues to deal with for GB last night Steve mac has weeks of work based on last night
1, almost championship play the ball speed.
2, no recognised specialist stand off, cant keep playing loose men there .
3, extremely ageing front row options in Morley and Peacock IMO that needs addressing after this coming comp.
4, Tompkins kept runnig across his own team thuis removing all options for team mates leaving them all stranded.
5, tompkins only joined the line twice all night which is about 50 times less than he usually does for wigan , big issue there
6, centres looked very weak indeed, no speed or guille to break down the op, and will get creamed week in week out by the aussie lads as we all know..
7, Myler was non existent for much of the game and was very clearly rabbit in headlights for most .
Plus points
1, Robinson looked class but lonely
2, Westwood was best man on the park IMO and is a true warrior to build a pack around with JG who run his blood to water
3, Joel is outstanding and should IMO run in the centres for GB along with laddo from quins giving GB size, speed and grit for a change both in attack and defence .
4, wings looked good
5,in defence tompkins at FB was solid
but again nothing that Aus or Kiwis will be worried about
