| You seriously can't tell me that Rovers haven't got their away kit yet because they owe Kooga money. That is not how it works. Cough up half and you get the home shirt, give the rest and you get an away shirt. Rubbish

| + like I've said before Digger, if anything Kooga owe us some serious cash, not the other way round.
Hey re the 25 mile contract thing, how come JJB also have full access to Hull gear then?

Do you really think its a cunning ploy by Rovers to wait so long to launch their away shirt and miss out on vital income from replica sales?? Seems they stand alone with that theory being as every other club using Kooga have launched both shirts and Wigans case all three!!!

I couldn't find salfords away one, has that one been released?
I would imagine there has been an issue of something somewhere, but I really can't see it that we have only paid enough for one kit!

I'd be very surprised what with Kooga having a new logo. Unless it is same shirt with new logo?

Nothing to state a team has to have a new kit each year. They could have a big surplus of last seasons shirts and have decided to keep it as the away strip rather than lose out on last seasons shirts (all speculation of course)

Agreed all speculation, but they would HAVE to change the logo. There is no way they would let a side have shirts with the old logo on imo

Around 10 years ago, football clubs were berated for changing both their home and away strips on a yearly basis. They were told that they should only change one strip per year.
Why is it then that rugby league clubs are still allowed to change both theirs on a yearly basis??

I've wondered this too Karen - I think the general rule in the Premiership is you have to keep your home shirt for two years (unless of course you change sponsors or kit suppliers). IMO it's greedy for SL clubs to change both every year at £45 a go.

It was always planned this way, "set in stone", no less. Mike Smith said so on his full, frank and informative interview on Rovers website.

Most likely reason is that RL clubs don't have the income of Soccer clubs and merchandising is a critically important revenue stream. Our sport simply can't afford the luxury of imposing a limit on replica kit sales.

Presumably it's all about money - both the clubs and the suppliers must make a fortune from shirt sales every season. It's wrong but unfortunately unlikely to go back to years ago when both clubs would keep them at least two years.

But not the overall design, so no new shirt launch required.
