The planning application was rescinded due to Health and safety reasons. The residents of East Hull who have used bouncy castles in the past landed on their heads causing severe brain damage a la HullKR21.

| It's funny how excited some Rovers fans are getting after a couple of decent wins. We are a work in progress, there is plenty to be positive about, but realistically I don't think we will be able to mount a true challenge until next season, maybe even the season after that once Smith has the squad he wants and has had time to really instill the culture and the ideas he wants.
And yet, despite my tempered expectations, I'm still pretty certain we will finish above Rovers when all is said and done. They've got some good players, but a fair few plodders too, and they have no squad depth. When we are into May/June and the injuries are racking up and the games are coming thick and fast they will drop like a stone.

Think HullKR21 has been sniffing too many Lambrini screw caps

SL is, in my often-stated opinion, a stale ‘product’. You don’t need Tarquin’s barometer, just look at the table for any of the previous seasons and you’d likely have a pretty good guide to the year ahead. It is extraordinarily hard to get excited about mounting a true challenge this side of ecological catastrophe and the end of modern civilization.
That said, it is at least refreshing in the narrower context of Hull KR to have coaches talking both retrospectively and prospectively about winning games. It has been some time (2017 season in the Championship, aside). We’ve been so flaming diffident. In fairness to previous coaches they’ve not had the stability or resources (I’m not buying all this richest club nonsense, btw… we’ve got some high calibre people on board but I’ve seen little meaningful indication, so far, that we’re now rich, never mind richest) that we seem to have now.
I think we look pretty good for depth this year, and it is the first time since Morgan that it feels like we haven’t had to choose between having a little bit of quality and a little bit of depth.

Wouldn't be certain about finishing above anyone apart from wakey and leigh
Close league this season could easily finish anywhere from 4th to 9th
Not convinced our defence is good enough for us to challenge still leaking alot of soft tries

What a load tosh.
Connor isn’t over rated, he is a very talented player and he’s proved that so many times. Not sure how you come to the conclusion everyone suddenly thinks different? Most like myself agree it was the best move for the club due to the current contracts & cap for him to go as that freed up cap to strengthen the team. Nothing to do with him being over rated.
With regards to Houghton it’s been a running theme for the past few seasons that he’d been flogged for 80 mins too much and needed spelling. It’s now at the stage where he is now reaching the end of his career. It’s highly likely had the club had the option rather than Houghton he’d likely no longer have a contract. With Dwyer we now have better options available which most have been crying out for.
Question marks have been on McIntosh since he signed and his Achilles injury won’t have helped. I seem to remember many were underwhelmed by his signing as as a Huddersfield player he was prone to errors. Again we haven’t had many quality options due to the poor recruitment previously and injuries we had. There’s been quite a few before yourself that have said Mitch should be in the 17 ahead of him so it’s not like you’re the messiah or even Brian for that matter.

Met Justin Morgan in the Rovers 10-5 bar after the Rovers v Catalan match on a Sunday afternoon in June 2010 after attending the Hull v Saints match the previous Friday evening. Had a lovely chat with him as I had watched him playing in the NRL for many years including his GF loss with the Warriors in 2002 against the Roosters in their only appearance in a GF.
The man of the match for the Roosters that day was Craig Fitzgibbon who captained Hull in their win against Saints a couple of days previously - details of which I posted today on another Hull thread! Evidently the two were good friends.
Surprised Morgan has not had a men's head coaching role since his 50 plus match winning rate at Hull KR.
